2006-2008 Beetle, Jetta , GTI, Rabbit, EOS, Passat - Ambient Temperature Sensor Reset

If the ambient temperature sensor or a/c control head is unplugged or replaced for any reason, the ambient temperature sensor must be reset in order to function properly. To reset the sensor, the vehicle must be driven over 25 mph or, if at a standstill, left running for 20 minutes.

WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT OF YOUR THREADS????

You are posting nonsensical drivel today. Between this one and the Flash to Pass (and others I may not have seen yet) they are all pointless....

As a long time owner of VW products.....you shouwld know why.... Unlike Honda / Toyota / others ..... VW products are FAMOUS for hard to fix troubles from model to model and year to year. The threads are just there for help OTHER owners who may have such issues, are scratching their heads and can avoid a trip to the dealer / mechanic....

That is one of the points of these FORUMS is it not ? To help others ?

Remove center air vent from front bumper cover catches

Unclip Air Temperature Sensor G17 - 1 - from bracket and disconnect electrical connector.
    Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order
