Mk1 rabbit convertible.. current 14s are et35 (stocks were 13s), lowered 60/75mm. Fronts look decent, but I think its the tires since they are a little wide) Lol. I need new tires.. but the rears are way off. I don't know what offset I need to make them flush. They look to be a good 3/4inch or so. Help please?

simple answer please... so when measuring for a spacer, obviously measuring from the tire to the edge of fender, but do you have someone sit in the trunk while measuring to account for bumps??

I have an 04 r32 With Koni adjustable and HR racing spring about a finger gap. For this season I'm looking to with 19x8 front and 19x8 rear. The tire size I'm looking at 225/35x19.
The problem is that most wheel I'm looking at are 5x112 I have an adopter that cover the problem, but the adopter size is 30mm all four what et size to I need to keep everytrhing in line without anything sticking out. I would like a clean look with this set up. Any assistance would be greatly welcome.

    I have a 2009 jetta, will a 17x7.5 ET42 fit my mkV ?

A friend have a set of rs5 wheels for sale but I want to make sure it fits.

And for tires, the oem size will fit? or I need to go with a different size.

So I am ordering Wheels for my 67 camaro.. and I am in a pickle here.. So hopefully someone can help..

The car has a different rear end that is about a inch shorter than stock.. and I got a backspace of 3.5" the stock backspacing of a wheel for that car is 4.5

Now I want to go with a 9.5 inch rear wheel.. and for stock backspacing it says go 5.5 "

So given my situation should I order a 6.5"? Or less? I am so confused by this..

'08 MKV Jetta, stock ride for now. Will get springs in the future, maybe 1" drop, nothing radical.
Looking at 18X8.5 ET40, would like to use 235/40/18. Any rubbing issues?

I'm running 16's on my mk3. 22et upfront and 17et in the back.
Thinking about running 205x40's up front and 205x45's in the back to give it that "positive rake" look and kinda fill in the gap.

Good idea? Or just do 205x40 all 'round.

    Cheers!Cheers.

I am running 18x8.5 with 220/40/18's on there now. I want to get new wheels and keep these tires as they still have alot of tread left. Anyways, I am wanting to go staggered with 18x8 for the fronts and 18x9 for the rears. I believe the rears with these 220/40/18's will looked stretched a little bit which I won't mind at all. Is there any problems with this staggered setup?

I have a set of d90s 7'' et55 for an mk2 what size spacers? I have a set of 42mm ones that I took to a local machine shop who said theyll be able to mill them down without a problem, so I'm pretty sure I can run a 30mm but i dont want to cut them too short.... anybody know if that size will work? or do I need 35s??

I have a mk iv gti. current wheels are the montreal ii 16x6.5 et 42 tires are 205/55-16. I am looking at a set of Kazera KZ-W 18x7.5 et 50 tires are 225/40-18. Im curious as to if they will fit, and if not a 7mm spacer will help clearance without hitting the fenders. I have the spacer, and I dont think the wheels clear the brakes on the back.

    Lip Swap questions.

Looking at a set of OZ Mito's.

    Front: 18x8 et 40
    Rear: 18x10 et 45

I think the lips are 1.25" on the front and 1.75" on the rear. If I swapped the front lips to the rear, That would put me at 18x8.5 et 34 front and 18x9.5 et 51 rear. I think...

    Hi all,

I have the opportunity to acquire 2008 R32 OE 18" wheels for my 2011 Jetta Wagen TDI. Does anyone know if this is a plug-n-play install?

The JSW has an 18" wheel option with 225/40-18 tires from the factory so it seems like it would fit if the offset/bolt-pattern are compatible. I am running the optional 17" setup on the car now.

    Thanks in advance!

    - Tom

The last 50 or so posts start with "I have.." or "Will ____ fit"

I came to this thread for insight on proper offset thinking if I started a thread with questions like that Id get flamed but thats all the content in this thread

so instead you come on here and hate on everyone who is trying to ask similar questions to the one you said you had, but never asked? you could have simply asked your question instead of being hypocritical.

Check your **** buddy, I was implying that no one was answering any of the questions. I also said I was looking for insight on the matter, so I have a better understanding of it. After all how informative is a thread with a bunch of questions and no answers? Noob trying to call me out..

16X6.5" Wheel, Looking for a nice clean amount of stretch for daily driving not a lot of stretch.

    What do you recommend?

I was thinking 195/40/16 but I'm not to fond of tire sizes I always just replaced tires with stock size.

    Thanks in advance!

Sadly a 195 will not really stretch much at all on a 6.5" wheel.

    I'd personally run a 165/40/16:

I have a 2001 A4 Quattro. It came with factory 16's on it. I did the front brake "upgrade" to the A8 rotors and the TT caliper brackets. My question is... I bought some 18 Flat Five wheels off of a 2005 A8. The offset is 45 and they are 8.5 width. Can someone suggest a tire size and possible spacer size/s to me? I want am aggressive stance and the car will be dropped 2 inches. Thanks in advance for taking your time to help a fellow member out
