As for the rack, yes there is a roof rack available. Retails for $303.81 for the base rack set and I sell them for $254.99 plus shipping.

Ok, this was the question I had. So a follow-up:
1) How hard is it to install the rack?
2) How much are the various bits that fit to it? (Specifically the bicycle and kayak bits)
3) Do two of the bike racks fit?
Thanks Bud!

Bud,
Do you have pricing on the MKVI GTI grill? I have a Salsa red TDI JSW coming soon and I think I need that grill. Do you think it will fit the JSW? Thanks in advance!

Doesn't specify that it is textured in the catalog. kvbett already has gotten a black spoiler, so I am hoping he can answer that question for us.

Yes, Black textured

There is a listing for the GTI/GTD for a textured or primed lower front spoiler. I am guessing everyone will be looking for the paint to match spoiler, correct?

They seem to list one for the Golf as well. Is that right?

Hi;
It looks like base Golf 2.5 models do not get armrest. How much is it as an accessory? And how much does it cost to install it? Does anybody have a picture of how does it look like? I mean would it look like a regular armrest, like the one GTI, or the upcoming Golf TDI? Is there a link to check it out?

Bringing this question over from the ask a salesman thread...
Doing a quick compare with the 360 view of the GOLF and the GTI, I was wondering what it would take to put the GTI rear hatch "wing" onto a GOLF?
Is that something that is pretty straight forward of a swap or something a shop should handle?

Question regarding the TDI:
Let's say the DPF (diesel particulate filter) fries itself after the warranty expires. I've read that the DOC and DPF are housed in the same unit; can they be replaced independently, and what would these parts cost new?
TIA!

If the MkVI is the same configuration as the MkV, then the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) are part of the same assembly. Since the DPF is not a user servicable unit as it is in Europe, you are stuck buying the whole assembly.
List price on the MkV piece was almost $3500 when I looked it up!

Can the MDI (iPod) interface be added to '10 JSW after delivery? If so, how much would that cost? Would it be identical to the factory armrest installation? Does it replace the aux input that is standard?
For that matter, if the MDI is ordered from the factory does armrest storage retain the aux input connection?
Thanks!

How much would it be for a pre VII head unit.

Bud,
Does the black textured lip match the side skirts? I have a white GTI on the way. The black textured one matching the sides and rear valance would be sweet! Thanks.

I have not seen a GTI yet, but I would have to assume the textured lip would match the textured side skirts.

Good talking with you! As I told you, once we get a GTI and Wagon here, I will do some comparison and see if these are easily interchangeable.

1) Rack is easy to install. Normally takes about 10 minutes.
2) VW offers two bike racks. One is a tray style, the second is a fork mount. $114.99 for the tray style and $149.99 for the fork mount rack. The kayak rack runs $139.99.
3) Yes, two bike racks will fit.

Looks like the answer is "no" based on the mounting points being different.
