When are you free? Let's do back to back chinese restaurants and do a taste test.

That actually sounds great. I like the idea. Anyone else in? Matty? Wait, back to back as in one after the other or say consecutive days?

careful if you take the off-the-beaten-track option.
the next day it might lead to instant and painful weightloss, real difficult if your on a plane or on the highway.

I'm definitely in. Dinner would be better.
One thing I don't like about the Flower Drum is that half the patrons look as though they are under policer surveillance.
At least when you go to the Supper Inn or some other low rent but honest Chinese restaurant, you don't have to be worried about getting bailed up for holding someone's glance a nanosecond too long.
And while I agree with Wayne about the food being over-rated, I'm struggling to think of any place that sells better Chinese food.
I guess there are not that many Chinese Restaurants trying to do something other than running three sittings for lunch and dinner.

Fri & Sat nights. Either stay at the Lindrum or Adelphi.
Was thinking of Press Club to keep the Greek happy but they are booked out.

We went to Stalagtites for about 10 minutes, before Mike pulled us out before even we had a chance to order the food.

      Why?
I'm breaking my Melbourginity in March and want to hit up some good greek food. I don't mind azn but dip and spiced meat is more my flavour.

F1? I'm planning to go next year as well. Perhaps a foodie tour is on the cards.
I love my italian in Melb. There is a place in the suburbs on Malvern Road, near burke street, Bellezza. Always very good service, very real italian flavours. Decor is old and dated but gives that homey feel. Go as often as I can when in town and it's only 5 minute walk from the apartment.

I reckon next venue can be the Enlightened Cuisine in Southbank.
It's vegetarian, mock-meat. Would be a very interesting dining experience for a bunch of meat heads.
