I agree with Paul on the Wagu burger at RP. For under $20, it is the best value burger out there especially at RP! I agree with Nick that RP steak is pretty good though, but when I want steak I prefer to go to no frills Squires Loft.Talking about steak, when I was in Paris last year, for some reason I really felt like steak one night and had it at my hotel (Westin). I was amazed at how good the steak was, and the seasoned butter the French use on their steak (similar to the butter on the fish pictured above) made it extra good. Are the French really known for their steak?

Today I had lunch at Chateau Yering Historic house. Wasn't too bad, but if it's not for the fact that it is in a winery and the ambience etc, I wonder how it compares against city restaurants. Anyway, that led me to think of this thread, and to ask this question. What is the best Winery Restaurant out there? For me, it's Montalto, Red Hill estate and Chateau Yering, in Victoria obviously...

also mr. riggs, and rockbare in s.a.thanks, but I was actually interested in the restaurant. As for the wine, I'm no expert, but some of my foodie friends actually rate the restaurant according to their wine list as well. Apparently Vue de Monde tops the list.

There's a burger joint near your place in a small suburban shopping strip that makes really good burgers - but I'm not sure that's the one. Ask Wes, he knows it.

Its garlic and herb butter...
French are known to be terrible at cooking their steaks. Usually way undercooked. Next time in sydney, go to Bistro Moncur. Ask Damien for a cafe de paris steak cooked medium.
