He is not going to install AFS and auto leveling so we really want to know if we must buy
the control units or only the ballasts, burners and highline CECM are enough for the
    headlights to work.
Thank you for your time for once more!
    Any ideas?

Good evening to you all. I have a Seat Leon 1.8 tsi facelift MY2010 and have retrofitted my original halogen headlights with bi-xenon projectors. Here is a photo of my new retrofitted headlights.

As we share the same BCM with certain vw models does anyone know which is the appropriate 087 version of the BCM that I should buy (I mean with which letter at the end) in order for the shutters to work? I have a 5K0 937 086 C BCM. Here are two photos of it. Thank you in advance.

Why must you drive the Spanish GTI knockoff when you could have had the real thing?

It would be nice to have the REAL thing (as the real thing I suppose you mean the GTI) but here in Greece cars have become the best way to rip-off citizens with taxes. So for the 1.8 knockoff I pay 300 euros tax whereas all the cars with 2.0 engines paid for 2012 930 euros tax and for 2013 they will pay 1100 euros. Also I bought my Leon 1.8 brand new with sunroof for 20000 euros when the same 1.4 tsi was priced 25000 and as we all know the 1.4 tsi has no tuning potential. GTI's price is about 30000 euros.

If anyone has something to suggest please do so. StakyrFR I hope we do.

My version of ETKA only handles VW and Audi and 5K0 937 086 doesn't come up as a valid part number for VW or Audi...

You need to find out what mhz your TPMS system runs at...

    5K0 937 087 C Z0C comes back to a Tiguan at 315MHZ and is a replacement for 5K0 937 085 B and 5K0 937 085 C, but nothing about 086 C.

I would be more than glad to find out what mhz my TMPS has. How can I find out that??? Or where can I tell someone that has ETKA which has Seat models to look for that?

If you find someone with ETKA that covers Seat and you put in that part number, the comments should say what MHZ it runs at...

The part numbers on the TPMS sensors would tell as well...

I was informed that the TPMS is indirect. I mean that it doesn't have sensors like in the following picture. It calculates the wheel rotation difference as a result of the tyre pressure difference using the ABS sensors. It's not very accurate of course.

This is what I suppose that you thought I had.

Normally I don't contribute to these types of posts because I'm sort of clueless but I saw this link and had a few emails with the guy from the site.

    http://www.ultraxenon.co.uk/vw-oem-bi-xenon-lights.html

He says that they have some sort of "wiring loom" that avoids using a highline CECM and that the lights will work 100% for those coming with halogen lights.

    Anyone know of this company?

They are pretty responsive and are willing to ship to the US.

I bought a highline CECM and as far as the headlights concerned everything works fine. I changed something while coding and I don't know how to revert it. I get bulb out messages for the rear right fog light and left reverse light. The problem is that my car is european and I don't have that bulbs. My car has only LEFT rear fog light and RIGHT reverse light. What do I have to change to fix it? My CECM is 5K0 937 087 H. The coding is the following. Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi there
I have a european Golf MK VI produced from factory march 2012. I want to retrofit the original xenon lights but I don't know which bcm/central electric module I should buy to get it working correctly.

    My primary module partnumber is: 1K0 937 086 M

I have read in ETKA that 1K0937087R should support my car, anyone who can confirm that or might point me in the direction which mocule partnumber I should upgrade to?

    Regards

    Hi Guys,

This has been a very helpful resource for my install, but now i have a few questions. I know my install isn't complete but i'm looking to get it working at least partially until my CECM arrives.

I've installed OEM LED Bi-Xenons, and OEM LED Tails (.:R's i suppose as they are dark in colour).

I have the midline CECM (086), so obviously not everything works, but i would like to at the very least have my low beams, and turn signals operational.

I simply plugged the original harnesses into the back of the lights, and used the adapter harnesses for the tails. Am i missing anything? I plan to run the additional wires to for the shutters once the CECM arrives.

I've made as many Long Coding changes as i can suspect may influence something, but alas i still have no low-beams, no turn signals, and no LED DRL activation.

As for the rear tails, when the headlights are on, the Rear Fog is always on, which is a good sign it works, but i'm not prepared to wire it up functionally to the Euro Switch. What am i missing to turn it off?

Any further information i can provide is available upon request, and i appreciate any help you guys can offer!

    Thanks,

    Kyle

I hate to bomb a thread, but... If i were to buy the non-LED bi-xenons that come on the Golf R, is it true that the CECM wont need to be upgraded? I read on a DIY thread on another site that the CECM needs to be replaced with the bi-xenons with LED DRLs, not the R style ones??

    Thanks!

Just an FYI for anyone doing the upgrade, but not worrying about the AFS or leveling. I've got my high beam shutters functioning with a 086 BCM and no bulb out errors. So a highline isn't necessary to have working shutters.

Not entirely sure if it will work on a Low BCM, but I know for a fact it works on a Mid BCM. If you wire the shutters to the high beam outputs on the BCM it sets a bulb out error since the shutters don't draw as much current as a high beam halogen bulb. I found though that if you code it as if it does have a High BCM (the specific coding I'd have to check), the Mid sends the 12v out the Halogen high beam circuit, but does not monitor the current draw. So its a matter of making sure the shutter pin on the headlight connector is wired to the halogen high beam output on the BCM and then coding it as if it had a High BCM.

Kufatec sells the autolevel retrofit kit and from what I have read in order to get either AFS module to work on either headlight a continuous 12v needs to be added for the modules to power on and communicable. I have read that pin 4 on the 12 pin harness needs the power however it is occupied and I don't want to touch the wrong wire and royally screw myself.

Has anyone actually done this? I've seen threads where a few people do the OEM retrofit, but never the AFS due to its complexity and cost. I retrofitted mine but have always wanted the AFS functionality.
