Great job. Your hard work really shows. the highest compliment I can give is that it looks like it should have come from the factory that way. Bravo!

I really like the painted lower grille!!! That looks great!!!

I would not have gone for the yellow lights. For my old benz, everyone always wanted clears, so I can't imagine going to yellow. I also preferred your original upper grille with the matched honeycomb. It already had the red stripe for a nice cohesive look. For me, just the painted lower grille would have been perfect. I would also keep the added lip black.

I'm considering doing the same, but the color is already so close to UG that I'm not sure the difference would be noticeable. Would be a darn shame to take the car out of commission for a few days and spend big bucks for an effect that would only be visible under certain conditions. For CW, TR and SB it's a great move. The other colors probably wouldn't show up.

Sweet!!! Just ordered a lip spoiler from Bud at Checkered Flag, and was surprised to learn that the price has just dropped to $275 painted and shipped! He's going on vacation at the end of this week, so you should call soon to get your order in. He's very pleasant on the phone by the way, a nice guy.

$275? Now I suppose the question is: Black, or color matched on my CSG?

I believe the term you're looking for is textured, like the rear diffuser.
I'm curious of this option as well. Would be a nice contrast on a DBM or CW GTI.

I ordered mine last Monday also, waiting patiently. I do remember that Bud said it would be two weeks, so maybe late this week or early next week.

he told me a week and a half to two weeks.. but i was hoping it would come in today so i could set up an appointment with vw to have them put on for me and to address some issue im having with the car. such as wind noise, clicking sound on my passenger side door, nozzle leak on my rear wiper and buzzing sound from the rear when accelerating.. so much issue for a 30k car..
