I only have an iPod dock but I don't own an iPod. I want to get my mp3 player hooked up. What kind of adapter do I need?

check inside of your glove box, once opened, look near the top, you should see a white auxiliary jack, you can plug your mp3 player into that. U have to control your song through the mp3 player itself. And you need an auxiliary cable as well to connect ur mp3 player to the jack. Just press the CD button on ur radio and it will switch to AUX mode.

effing apple to the rescue again... putting proprietary crud in our cars that nobody ever uses :banghead:

For a more permanent and less bulky alternative, try this:

I did it and it worked flawlessly.... er... well it was a noisy connection. I ended up doing this finally:

If you don't mind removing your center console and radio entirely, buy one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290929457470?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

It plugs in to the back of your radio and provides an aux input. You'll end up with a hole where the old ipod dock was, but a single-din dummy compartment like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000281WCU/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 will fill it up and give you some storage space back.

It usually doesn't take that long. Mine came in a week or so. They have to go through customs and that can sometimes delay delivery, which is why they say it'll take that long but then when it doesn't you end up even happier.:what:
