On Saturday my buddies and I went down to a dyno day at a local shop that specializes in SR20 swaps. Pretty cool stuff. Anyways, we all pooled our money together to put the GLI on the dyno and show them what VW's have to offer (not the 2.0 that put down a whopping 100whp right before). This was my first trip back to the dyno since putting down 371whp at the ForceFed dyno day exactly a year ago. Last winter, I built the motor (IE Rods) and changed to the MAFless file so I was curious to see the results.

All runs were on 93 Octane:

1st pull was at 25psi and made 371whp.

2nd pull was 26psi and she made 379.3whp

3rd pull was 26.5psi and she made 379.9whp

Very happy with the power and consistancy for a 50* day and no fan in the front of the car. Funny that the car EXACTLY the same as last yr at the same boost level, granted different dynos, but still.

Crappy video of pulls 1&2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znGUpvSE_Rk

yeah dyno had no load cell, which is why the graph is skewwed to the right. but it was a 4th gear pull.

ferrari f 50 trim holds it down still!!!

I think he mentioned doing ie rods. Very solid numbers.

I would maybe even think of a larger fmic...I remember doing calculations on a eurojet street fmic...and it was only good to about 300whp before becoming a flow restriction and consequently creating serious pressure drop.

What core you guys recommend for 400whp?

    Thanks guys!

I switched to the Eurojet Race with full 2.5" piping since I had the bumper already trimmed my street core. The race core performs really well, but I would still prefer a Precision Core for higher hp's.
