If you're refreshing a motor I would put rods in it if you're going RS6 or bigger, but that's just me. For RS4 you dont need it, for my RS6 hybrids I haven't needed them either.

RE ATP kit: Make sure you get extra studs for when the manifold to turbo bolts backout. Had a lot of problems with those over the years.

    pm sent for those parts....

do u need a headgasket kit if i just installed new valves like a year ago, i heard u can do rods by taking off just the oil pan, i wanted to avoid taking off the head, thats more costly plus i just did that to my car cuz my timing belt went out and it wasnt cheap..

You can get the rods out the bottom of the motor if you drop the crank as well. It's up to you how you do that. If head comes off, you will need a new head gasket it.

Yea they make custom application pistons or just plain old forged pistons. They have them on their website starting at just under 1k for oe style forged pistons and moving up from there.

That's impressive, first tuning shop I've seen that makes pistons I wonder if they're making them or getting them made for themselves

There are 2 more rods for the V6 and they are larger in size and thus more expensive to make.

Maybe you should email the manufacturer to ask them, then let us know what they say:
