    Thread: Troubleshooting codes p1136 p1250

    1. 11-01-2009 12:28 AM #1
My passat has 103K and I've just changed the spark plugs from bosch F7LTCR to NGK BKR6Q and drove around for maybe an hour. My check engine light came on so I drove to Autozone and two codes came up, P1136 and p1250. I don't know if it's spark plug related but does anyone know what could be the problem?
My engine is not moded. Thanks.

I've also changed the air filter, quickly. I'm gonna check to make sure nothing is loose.

im actually having the same code 1136 except i have had it for 9 months..check o2 sensor...mass air flow sensor , check for vacuum leaks and your pcv valves underneath the hood and check your fuel pressure..1136 is for fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and o2 sensor but any number of things could be causing this.. have you changed your fuel filter recently?clogged lines could be restricting flow.. i changed pre cat o2, cleaned my maf, changed my fuel and air filter and did a throttle body alignment with vag com ,and swapped throttle bodies all to no effect. i dont think i have a vac leak but just cant figure this out.. how is your idle?

I've fixed it. Apperantly I didn't tighten the clamp, that hold the pipe that connects to the air box, and this pipe came loose so it was sucking air from the engine compartment, bypassing the filter. I've put the plastic pipe back on and cleared the CEL. The car runns great with new spark plugs.
