So...that is interesting. Have anymore details about that particular build? I'm guessing much higher compression and super advanced timing? I'd really like to know more about that.

Just fo' grins...what all's the life expectancy of an ITB'd engine running w/o any sort of intake air filtration?

Here were mine. Honda CBR1000RR ITBs in my BMW 320i. They leaked boost pressure so they went bye bye. I'm replacing it with a single throttle body manifold now.
They leak from the TPS sensor, and I blew out the OE ISV's at 25 psi. Oops.

It's my motor - ABA 2.0 bottom end - 1.8T AEB head. Custom pistons 12:1 compression, some big Kent cams, forged knife edged and balanced crank - the whole reciprocating assembly is balanced, 48mm ITBs, custom header. It made power into the high 8000 rpm's. Currently undergoing some upgrades.

It even sounds like a bike kind of heh. Yeah ITB's seem real difficult to do with a turbo. A guy on Nasioc was trying to make roller barrel ITB's with a turbo and he had the same problems getting the ITB's to seal.

How do velocity stacks = ITBs?
