The first game I was ever good at. I played one game for several hours once before losing because of fatigue.(yeah, I'm that old)

If N64 counts as 'old school' now, StarFox64 is up there, as is MarioKart. TMNT2 for NES is bad ass. Rad Racer, where else could you drive a F1 car and a 328 in 1987?
Edit - oh yeah...and you could do it in 3D.

BATTLETOADS!!My cousin and I would get so frustrated at this part. I can't remember if we ever beat it.
I also remember playing the Power Rangers fighting game on Genesis but nothing else. I spent most of my early video game time on a PS1.
