| If you theoretically didn't need to be slammed but wanted optimal ride and the ability to lower the car at times, would it be possible to run the helper spring under the bag? Would that deliver any softer ride? Also a bit confused/concerned about bags running softer when lower and stiffer when inflated. So when you park it drop it on the ground would be optimal ride 'quality' and then when you raise it to 'optimal' driving hight they get firm as hell? Trying to make a decision on my daily. Currently has racelands trying to decide to go for sport spring bilstein set up or wait for these bags. |
Great questions. Let me break them apart...
Helper springs- This would not improve ride at all. Under the weight of the car the helpers completely compress. They are only there to keep the springs seated under situations where the wheels are off the ground. Also as a side effect the air bag would want to lean because the spring wouldn't be able to hold it straight.
Air Pressure/ Ride Quality- Yes it is true that lower pressures make the car ride nice. But there is a balance between ride and stance. This setup allows it to be built based on how you want the car to be-

I will have a price this weekend. Hopefully it does lock the thread.
