The unemployed can only buy these after they have dropped in price.
I also ordered the Dyson fan today after my third attempt to buy one failed due to sell out stock. So much for those who say $400 fan won't sell. Clearly many parents like myself see the benefit of it.

      That's so fukn 2008.

yep. But maybe the sales lady was hot? I bet it's not the one that has WLAN in it either.
I never understood why more people don't think that WLAN in a frame is a good idea. I got my folks one (in 2008, of course) and my dad just puts different pics in the folder on his PC and it changes what the frame displays. Brilliant!

Did you try before you buy?
I've got no problems buying a $400 fan, my Vornado cost just over $300, but it doesn't sound like a hair dryer.

WLAN is useless because it means you have to have your computer on all the time. Of course that is ok if you do that anyway but I don't. Funnily enough, the reason I bought this Sony one is because I accidentally dropped an old Kodak one that I bought in 2008 (of course lol) and killed it. The Kodak has WLAN but I didn't use it. The Sony frame is the most beautiful frame out there IMO.

Yeah it's not the quietest unit around, but given it's going to be for OlieWAY's bedroom, I don't think he cares too much. Any pic of your Vornado one?

Why is there a tin of Baked Beans on your desk?

Not today, but a few weeks back, I bought a set of Usher Be-20 speakers. I thought they were 78kg a pair. Turns out I read the wrong spec sheet wrt weight and they are 123kg each. Needless to say, it nearly killed me getting them up 3 flights of stairs. Very worth it though!!

Cool. What do you want to use it with? Have you bought another system?
