I just can't decide what model/brand steering wheel to get for my '88. I've seen many I liked but need a little "push" into the right direction or I will never make up my mind.

    SOooo...whats it gonna be?!

Thanks man! Its just a basic Momo (monte carlo?) with some funky 'Corse' edition center ring adapter for the pad to push over. Havent seen another, but im not really sure where it came from since I got it in a trade for some radio install work back in '99 from a Corrado owner.

Sick, I am rolling an old Momo myself. . . GT style!

Is it a little smaller in diameter than the stock steering wheel?

yeah, it's smaller but im not sure how much. It's a bit bigger than the common size momo wheel if that's any reference.

That brings up the single complaint I have about the Momo wheel I have. It's smaller, which is nice, because my legs can actually fit between the seat and the wheel. But, because it's smaller, it cuts off my view of the top half of the speedo and tach. I have to duck my head to see how fast I'm going.
    Deal with it.

It's already all the way down. The only other solution is moving the seat back, but then I'm not comfortable. I don't like having my legs extended all the way to push in the clutch.

Oh well, it's not a huge deal. It's way better than having the decomposing stock wheel.

    Deal with it.

I have this problem with mine too, but, honestly, the view cut off is so minimal, and the fact that you can pretty well guesstimate where you are based on needle position, it never really worried or bothered me...bothers me even less knowing just how inaccurate the factory tach is compared to my MS readings

Have you tried using one of those momo spacer adapters? Moves the wheel closer to you. I have one on mine (I got short arms) and I like it.

Ive got the corrado leather wrapped wheel. its got a recessed horn, and a smalled overall diameter, so faster turns are possible, and you dont hit the horn by accident.

the only pics I can find of it is here..

got the camera charged and took a couple snapshots of the rado steering wheel.

I dont have the best camera for this, so I tried a couple different angles, with and without the flash.

it is kind of hard to tell from these pictures, but the center of this steering wheel is recessed quite a bit, and its smaller in diameter to the stock wheel.

    Crappy pic:

It's a OMP Rally wheel and I absolutely love it! Having the wheel closer to you (about 2 inches or a bit more) makes a huge difference (in driving as well as getting in and out of the car).

not really into the blue, and the "suede" is coming off. but steering wheel is currently pretty far down on the priority list

Just a simple Momo Monte Carlo with a Wolfsburg button. It's in decent shape but I'm not sure if I'll want to recover it eventually (maybe alcantara) or get the Momo Protipo I've been lusting after.
