Rear fenders have a large amount cut out (due to rust and rubbing)

Toying with making steel flares. Was 3" trimmed it down to 2". Still too much flare so I may trim it to 1".
195/60/14 tires on stock Tear Drops (ET35), HR sport lowering springs, I need spacers to make it work. should I go for it or stay OEM.
