    GIAC Chip from my 2000 Passat. 200 HP and 248 ft./lbs. of TORQUE! Purchased directly from authorized GIAC dealer. It comes with receipt and paperwork. I think for $50 you can have the chip reprogrammed. I'm pretty sure it will plug & play into any 2000 to 2001 Passat with 1.8T Tiptronic auto trans. and ATW motor.     does it need to be soilder in? i have a 2000 passat 1.8t whats the ecu number it came out of

    Interested in purchasing the chip, I have a 2000 Passat 1.8T wondering if I could just plug and play....I have an ATW also.

    You would need to get someone to solder the chip to your ECU.
