Thread: MkII VW Motorsport GpA Workshop Manual Now Available for Download

  1. 08-13-2002 11:35 AM #1
I have scanned into PDF the MkII VW Motorsports GpA Workshop Manual for the Golf GTI 16v complete with part #'s.

This is actually 2 documents I have combined into one. The first is the Workshop manual that is 18 pages. The second is the part's guide complete with exploded diagrams that is 51 pages. A blank page seperates the two. Please keep in mind that this document is circa 1989.

    Download here:
    http://www.vanbogart.com/golf/vwmotorsports

Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the document:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

I am working with another Vortex lister to get a copy of the MkIII documents from VW Motorsports. I will post again when those documents are available.

just go to his site and right click on the pdf icon and save target as. then just save to desktop and open it. maybe thatll help someone..

i find it kinda amusing that they have radiators for every fluid in the vehicle. they sure are serious about keeping the car in perfect shape even when driving the crap out of it. what do you guys think about the availabilty of these parts? do you think id still be able to pick them up from vw more than 10 years later...?

Yeah! I like the gear box cooler. Very trick. Anyone else noticed they cranked 190hp from a 1.8 16v running minimally modified stock fuel injection system? Did you notice the brake setup?

I have inquired about parts and the pickin's are slim. I am sure that if someone on this list know's where to get parts thry won't tell us. I wouldn't!

Glad you all are enjoying this manual. I can't wait to see the MkIII version!

    Hey guys -

I ****** up when I uploaded the new site on Sunday....dropped the new folder right on top of the old and overwrote everything in that directory.

I will grab the files from work tomorrow and reupload.

    Sorry for the problems!

I hate to jump on the bandwagon and waste a post asking someone to email it to me, but...

can some one mail it to
    xlacks@hotmail.com

I can probably host this file for awhile if someone gets it to me.

    Hey guys -

The files are back up online. I created a PDF and ZIP file formats. 2.5MB and 2.4MB respectively. I won't email because I belong to the International Brotherhood of Saving My Personal Bandwidth

    Download at: http://www.vanbogart.com/golf

    Thanks
