If you have 908.1, go into coding > long coding helper, look around in Byte 5. You should find confirmation via horn.
Post an auto scan with the current release if not.

      Hey Dana:
Looks like byte 05 is 27 (00100111). I think this was the headlight washer delay on the MkV. I don't have the car right now because its at the shop having some venture film put on, but I'll check Monday. Can I do this directly by changing the long coding or do I need to go through the helper?
+++++++++++++
Address 09: Cent. Elect.       Hi,
Were you able to get this to work and if so would you mind posting how you did it. I'm taking my car in to a shop with a VAG-COM today to hopefully have this done. That horn drives me up the wall. Thanks.

      This did work, on my 2010 Gti at least.
Have your shop go into (09) Central electronics. (doors must be unlocked)
Go to coding (07)
Long coding helper
Byte 5. Bit 1. They should find a Locking/Unlocking confirmation via horn active box to un-check.
excellent news! the horn is bugging me also. frankly its not the horn itself just the duration. about a few milleseconds longer than my MkIV TDI. a little chirp is okay by me but a full note is obnoxious IMO. Is there a code for reducing the duration of the horn note during lock?
thx, dom
