|anybody else get dollar signs in their eyes looking at this stuff? there's a lot of misc. brightwork and little parts that could be snagged off of some of that stuff as well as whole panels(oval window) not to mention a couple good front clips.|
Not only did this thought cross my mind, but I tried to go back and get some of the stuff off of these cars. The property owner said I had full reign of the place. Needless to say, the only thing I could save was a "w" decklid with a popes nose. It's hanging in my garage, and even that is pretty rusted out.
I tried to get an oval window panel or two but as soon as you hit the car with the sawzall, it literally started to disintegrate. After 30 years in the woods, there's not a lot holding them together.
I'll have to see what I can find from the other graveyard I found. Unfortunately, I was unable to save a blasted thing out of it as the owner was thick headed and insisted that he could get more in scrap ($/lb) for them than he could parting them out. over 500 rare cars died that day!!!!
