She wasn't featured in the first two hours. And from watching tomorrow's preview, she will be featured.
Will she still be with the FBI? Or with CTU? Or even with the NYPD???
Not a bad start, as 24's go.
I still hate the melodramatic subplots. Are they really necessary?
Hassan is the guy from Slumdog.
His brother is either a) a weasel, b) Jason Schwartzman or c) all of the above.
The blond reporter chick is OK, not great.
The blond CTU chick does nothing for me.
Chloe looks better this season than last.
The air seems fresher without Garofalo. Cats aren't clawing at my door.
Great body count, two dead guys before the opening credits even finished rolling.
Jack's starting to get older looking. Still not too bad for a guy who's almost been killed so many times.
X2 on the annoying subplot, I don't care what BillyBob has on the blond scantily clad CTU babe, and I wish these things didn't cloud up the story line.
Pontiac G8s in 24-land have the same two pre-stripped wires under the dash that disable the passkey system, unlock the steering column, and start the car all at once if you spark them together.
Creepy Russian bad guy changing accents from Brooklyn to Moscow was pretty cool, bullet to wifes' leg was done before... by Jack.
I was just in NYC a month ago, traffic was slightly worse, and yellow Ford Escape hybrid taxis are the second most common car on the road after the yellow Crown Vics. Didn't see a one here.
New York is a great backdrop nonetheless, and it would be cool if Jack tossed some bad guy off the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, or the George Washington Bridge. You want somma this?
But he has to get a pretzel from a street vendor at some point. Those are the best.
I call that Hassans wife is in on it with his slimy brother(possibly relationship) and that his hot daughter will find out and take out her mom!
Or something along those lines....

It wasn't shot in Washington DC last year either.
I am excited to have 24 back on, but I almost turnned it off when Freddie P and blondie at CTU got all mushy. Dumb. It definitely got better from there.
Hassan seems like an idiot to be so careless with his lady friend reporter. The CTU director seems like an idiot too...does he not remember that Jack is always right???
CTU blondie's side story is ridiculous. CTU apparently can't do a very thorough backgraound check on something that seems like Billy Bob can take her down with.
I did like that Jack and Freddie cornered the CTU director to follow this other guy...I am not sure what to think about the new CTU yet.
Looking forward to tonight!

I know, but I think it's easier to fake DC than it is to fake NYC, if only because NYC is so incredibly iconic and shown in so many more movies and TV shows.

I was thinking the same thing...foreshadowing perhaps.

No spoilers, please
I was half-expecting CTU to be attacked once dumb daughter decided to pick up daddy at CTU. She must always be in danger -- it's in her contract.
Keifer is looking older, but that's the downside to HD -- you see every wrinkle line and blemish. The women look like they've got pancake makeup to hide their facial flaws.
NYC is shot in LA all the time. Any old street scene or filthy back alley can be done locally, with a second team getting stock NYC shots for coverage.
The following takes place between 4:00PM and 5:00PM.
Jack pauses, gets a huge grin on his face from all the moneyz he is making and then follows up to say
"events occur in real time" - you can tell he had a big grin on his face when he said that.
The dude tumbling down the stairs from one floor to the other - awesomeness.
Cloe not understanding the new infrastructure - sorry once a techy always a techy no matter the technology. I know they made it happen to build up the characters (weak at first and then turn out to be correct) - ok ok I am reaching here trying to pick out flaws - 24 is the awesomeness.
Freddie prince jealous how jack handled the new director in the gun room - really liked that scene.
Overall glad 24 is back. Some great action already and really hasnt been anything that bugged me much in the first 2 hours

Eh, I'm not too thrilled. I thought she was irritating last season. She reminds me of Agent Scully from X-Files always holding Mulder back from what he wanted to do.
Also does anyone else notice how they always recycle the same material every season? Besides the obvious terrorist plot, there's always:
high level dignitaries having affairs with someone
high level dignitaries being betrayed by someone very close to them
employees of CTU having relationships with each other
employees of CTU always spying on each other as they get up from their seat to walk somewhere else
an employee of CTU with a shady past or shady family member that is threatening to blackmail him/her
Chloe always hacking into other employees' computers
Renee taking off the tracking bracelet...
"You can't cut the bracelet."
"I'm not cutting the bracelet..."
I'm gonna love the loose cannon Walker.
Blondie's whole gig with Bubba is already getting old. She's an FBI agent. Go home, cap the butt-munch, call the cops and tell them you found the guy broke in. He has a prison record, she's with the FBI. Who will the cops listen to?
