Tonight; practice crit with ride there and back. Flatted on the way there, one teammate stayed back to help. Went with break that was forming and stayed away, but I ran out of air in my lungs and my back tire ran out of air too - for the second time. First replacement tube looked like it had a defect from new. :

West Chester Twillight Criterium Race, Saturday evening. Started right in the back of the cat 3/4 field, got stuck behind EVERYONE. Rode through three crashed but stayed upright, got stuck behind people blowing up and dropping out, got pulled once - ignored it - busted ass on next lap to bridge to next group ahead, entire group got pulled on next lap. Damnit.

No HR data, didn't wear the sensor on purpose. Should have done though.

Did 36 miles this morning. Went out with my buddy who is winding down for Ironman in Lake Placid next weekend. I love early morning rides in the summer.

Group ride last night. One of the quicker ones I've done. 29 miles at 18.5 mph. Pretty hilly too my legs feel like jello this morning. Although at the end of the ride something happened to my rear wheel so I need to have that looked at this weekend. I've gotta say these group rides I'm in I really found my self pushing harder and harder to keep up with the front and I love it compared to solo riding.

      I RODE TODAY!!!!!

Got my Gravity 29.2, put it together, adjusted the discs, put a staggering 50 psi in the tires (i know i know) and hit the road/trail!

I did a staggering 3 miles round trip! Lightly hilly.

When I got back my legs were tense and I was sweating pretty good.

      It was friggin awesome.

I aired down to 40 psi when I got home, and may go even lower but im 240lb and on 2.1" tires.

      Hitting the road again tomorrow!

Oh and my prowlers are SOOO knobby for the road lol. I'm like a monster truck.

      I love this thing!

You can't hang with this group, you obviously haven't shaved your legs and plotted your every stroke with a smartphone app. tisk tisk.

I test drove a bike tonight, most of you will hate it and think it sucks.

Did 55 miles this morning. Rode 11 miles to the park, met my buddy, did 31 with him, then rode home. I love having 55 miles in before 9:30am. I went light today, didn't do an really big hills but I did so some gradual climbs. Now I'm inside hiding from the heat

Finally got the road bike back together (new headset and stem) and went for a ride. Away from the lake the temperature skyrocketed to 35C (about 95 F) which caused me to wimp out early. Only 70 km on what was supposed to be a 120 km day. Oh well.

It's been warm in Western New York as well. I love it though, it's summer, it's warm, and people are all out and about

      Ride number #2!!!

I now have a water bottle, and a bike computer!

I used a lady bic this morning, and shaved the legs, the twig and berries, taint, and forearms.

      Total mileage 3.85

      avg MPH 7.3

about 75% off road singletrack/trail with some mild hills.

I broke a sweat, at it was 95F here but my legs were not jello like they were yesterday on my first ride ever.

I need to do a roll out measurement for more precise measurements.

Went out tonight for a nice quick evening ride. Ended up doing 22.7 miles with 1800 feet of climbing. Took a couple new roads. My legs are starting to feel stronger. I've got just under 200 miles on the new bike and I freaking love it

30 miles, 3h30, Garmin unit says 7400ft climbing, mygarmin.com's corrected climbing data says 8500 feet of climbing. I'll split the difference and say 7700 feet. Col du Telegraph and Galibier. How the tour riders do it after 60 miles, I just don't know. Oh, and I don't have a compact crank and it hurts.

I like the average HR stats... welcome to the pain cave.

Rode 40mi on Saturday, 50mi today. First back-to-back where I've felt strong both days.

Just got back. 104f at start time.... 101f at finish. Got a few sprinkles in the middle of it that felt nice.

34.48mi 1:55 and I'm pretty happy about that considering I had to stop at 4 stop lights, and I did three cat4 climbs that definitely slowed down my average speed.
Let's argue this the American way; volume, proximity, and repetition.

40.83 miles for Monday morning. Got a flat about 1 mile from home, went back to repair it properly and headed back out. Got rained on for a bit, then it stopped and was dry for the rest of the ride. Rain felt GREAT and it was perfect in that my feet didn't get wet at all. Countdown to CAAD9er baby

Only 10 miles yesterday. I wiped out going -0- mph. It was my second day using clip in pedals ... I forgot to clip out.

My knee is kinda swollen, so I'm trying my best to not limp around the office today, since it's kinda embarrassing.

A paltry 5500ft of climbing in 30km today followed by about 45km of mixed descending and climbing - col de la Croix de Fer. Tomorrow: L'Alpe d'Huez.
