Quick 9.7 before dinner. Best ride yet, grabbed a top 10 segment out of 493 and if I can pickup 5 seconds on it will break top 5. Bit disappointed that Strava didnt pause during one stoplight for about 1:30, would like to have seen my average close to 20. Oh well.

they're steppin' on my rhythm and they're stealin' all my lines

Nope, I did Quandary Peak yesterday hiking. Elevation 14,265 ft with 3,200 ft gain in 3 miles. So I will not have time to follow the race. I will be in Boulder on Thursday and Friday and hope to ride both days. I am also planning on riding the bike up to 12,167 ft in Rocky Mountain park then the end of next week it is going to be riding up Mt Evans the highest paved road in the US...

That climb looks fun Bill. I consider myself a climber but always wonder how I would stack up against the big hills out west. One day I guess...

Did 15 miles today. Had a nasty headache from the Victory Summer Loves I drank last night, which is surprising, and didn't eat enough this morning, both my fault. It felt good to get out and sweat though.

I rode 100 kilometers today. But Strava uploaded it as 99.9 km. Even though on my iPhone app it was 100.03. Hmmm...

1st cross race of the "preseason". Going into it I didn't have much in the way of expectations because I haven't exactly been training all that much. I wound up getting 10th/45, much better than I expected. The fact that the course was fairly technically challenging helped me, because if it was just a grass crit I would've been flung out the back of the race.

Anyone that likes to climb on the bike needs to come to Colorado at somepoint. Here is today's ride thru Rocky Mountain National Park... Starting Elevation was 8,526 ft and summit Elevation was 12,180 ft. I feel like I have a good chance with the Mt Evans climb later this week.

Saturday, rode opposite the race in Boulder, only 1/2 the distance. Up Lee Hill, Up Left Hand, Down Canyon.
No Strava on long rides, iPhone batteries won't hold out, so I don't bother.

It was way cool too see the riders coming up Canyon from the top. The ride down canyon was pretty fun too.

Yes and I damn near crashed at 30mph when some college kid on a bike came wandering into the road off a curb without looking either direction.

my LBS did their second TT last weekend but I skipped since I hadn't spent enough time on my bike due to a couple vacations recently. Kinda kicking myself for not doing it. Luckily the start and finish lines are spray painted on the road so I can go out and do it whenever I want.

24mile B-Group ride tonight. 1:10minutes, avg'ed 19.8. We ended up meeting up with another LBS A-group and someone had to get a big ego and try to keep up. Looked down and I was doing 26. Blew up a little bit at mile 19 and fell off the back by a couple hundred meters, luckily some guy blew up worse than me so I drug him home.

6.6mi urban night ride on the singlespeed. First actual ride on one it was fun. Geared a bit low for the streets. 16-18mph is really spinning it.

Today's climb was what all the training for the last two weeks led up too. 27.7 miles up hill on the highest paved road in the USA. Elevation peak for the road is 14,130 ft above sea level. Got rained and hailed on for the last 2 miles up and then 5 miles back down to where I had a car pick me up.

Almost 8k of gain in just over 33 miles. In a place where there's comparatively little oxygen.

    Whoa -- I'm not worthy.

Meanwhile, I'll just post up my little group ride with the local bike club's three group (of five):

Last ride in Colorado for this years trip, it was a great two weeks and look forward to coming back next year. With the two hikes I ended the month with 63,106 ft of climbing. I really need to figure out how to move out here...

Rode with a co-worker and Bill. Was probably the most difficult ride i've ever done. Makes the double century I did in June look like a Sunday joy ride.
