Just added the two under seat drawers to my son's JSW TDI. As long as you own the correct triple square wrench, this isn't a very difficult installation. Pull the 4 bolts. Tip the seat back. Fit the holder to the bottom of the seat. Insert 4 screws. Push in the drawer. Tip seat back into place. Reinstall the 4 seat bolts.

I bought the parts through my office in Germany but they are available here for more money through the Euro VW parts suppliers. Adds two nice places to hide stuff out of sight. Will post photos later.

First, the radar detector and now you have installed under seat drawers in your son's car to hide things...What other illegal activities do you promote in your house???

In an environment where revenue enhancement is the functional main daily task of some town's police, knowing when to be at or below the limit can be pretty important.

and that is one of the stupidest things i've ever heard... speeding tickets are not a source of "revenue"...

yes they are... MANY towns and cities, especially down south (Maryland and Georgia come to my mind) where there isn't a good source of money for many a town. They used and still use speeding fines as a source of revenue. May people have had to pay $$$ just to get out of some of these towns. I've driven a few miles in my day and have had a few tickets myself and by my experiences, fines are absolutely no deterrent to speeding and it just is another "tax" that some people pay...

Kids (even college-aged ones) have a lot of things to learn, and having a detector can help a good one become even better just by reminding them to check their speed. Particularly in a TDI which can creep up the speedometer innocuously.
    Modified by brian81 at 9:33 AM 3-18-2010

Hmmm.... Wouldn't checking your speedometer be a better way to check on your speed?

x2 - Also, VW's have that great feature that allows you to set a speed warning -

That is not a "badge" that is sourced as a single part. It is probably three letters from the OEM Plus "badge alphabet" where you can order the letters to spell anything you want to.

MORE Mods and Pics and JSWs.

LESS debate about who's raising their kids how, or whether speeding tickets are a deterrent or just a revenue source or whether the Easter Bunny really exists.

    Does he?

    x2 - I couldn't agree more - Let's get back on topic people.

I'm really interested in the JSW as I am considering it for my next vehicle so let's see some more mods/pics...

Also, does anyone know what will happen w/ the JSW when the new Jetta comes out for 2011? Will there be any entirely new JSW?

As some of you may know, there is a great JSW mod thread (23 pgs) over in the MKV forum which we all know is essentially the same vehicle.

Check it out - there also seems to be less bickering over there (probably because certain users don't post over there )

Thanks - Here's new pics with the skirts and front spoiler installed. Trying to decide if I should install the H&R sports I've got in the garage or coil-overs.

Does anyone know if the Mk6 tails on the JSW are the same as the Mk5? The tint looks different.

It's the factory spoiler and skirts - I got them from vw discount parts - http://www.vwdiscountparts.com
about $800 unpainted and then had a local shop paint and install for $450.00.

I believe the tails are exactly the same except the 2010 JSW's are slightly tinted. I've had my Golf Wagon parked right in front of a MkV Jetta Wagon and couldn't tell the difference - it was kinda dark out though and I was looking from about 30 feet away - the difference must be pretty subtle.

Hmmm, I should check with OEM Plus. Was thinking about getting the Euro rear light which subs the foglight for the reverse light on the d/s taillight. They only have this advertised under the Mk5 parts.

I'll post if I find out.

How did it ride? Looks great! I think I'm sold on coilovers. I like the idea of keeping an everyday ride height about like fleuger's, but having the option to go lower should I feel inclined to do so and go back up if I tire of it.

Wow, what a beauty!!! I am trying to decide wether or not to do a full GTI front bumper and grill with a gloss black lip or the front lip spoiler like yours. I have a Candy White Golf Wagon with Bilstein PSS10's and BBS CK 18's and let me tell you, I am soooo glad I went with the coil over instead of the springs. After some hevay duty mountain highway driving the springs have had some time to settle, and similar to a handfull of the H&R's there was a slight lowering of the back end. Beauty was that I could move it back to level and the car is perfect now!! I have the height set to a hair lower than a stock GTI and I have the agressive look, while still beaing able to hit speed bumps and pull out of steep driveways without any worry. If you have the means, my vote is go coil-overs and you will never look back!!!

P.S. Love the red accent you had done on the front lip!!!

2010 Golf Sportwagen TDI - Candy White - 18" BBS CK Anthracite Wheels - Bilstein PSS10 Coil-Overs - ProRack Whispbar - Custom Hidden Trailer Hitch - Yakima LoPro Titanium Roofbox - Yakima Holdup Bike Rack

    Pics?

Just for reference sake, when you get a chance, could you post up your ground (or wheel hub) to top of the wheel wells measurement?

Most likely they came from oemplus. They have a whole alphabet that matches the larger factory font.

Those look like something you'd put on the rear with adhesive.

How do you create a new badge for the grille? I bought a GLI grille for my MKV JSW and want to replace GLI with JSW. Thanks

OEM Plus confirmed that the Euro tail will in fact fit the Mk6. Updating their website to reflect as much.

Don't create one, buy a Passat B4 TDI grille emblem. Just like on micajah's black car posted above.

    http://www.idparts.com/catalog...d=649

If the pins don't fit the holes in your grille, cut them off and use 3M body moulding tape.
