Flashed it this weekend. Didn't get the file before the engineers went home in the UK on friday so had a little over 200 miles on it once I finally got around to it sunday. V2 testing is back underway for those waiting. Also was able to test the V1 at high rpms and confirmed no fuel pressure codes so that update seems to be working great, will let anyone waiting for it know when the files are built.
Nothing major beyond that just debadged the rear and painted the rear emblem black:

Ordered fog lights and my signature yellow bulbs for the low beams and fogs, need to order a euro switch or steal the one out of my mk4.
Test fit the team dynamics, think I am going to go with those just have to see how much they want to sell them to me for. Currently have R888s on them so will need tires as well.
If anyone is looking for some 19" BBS CHs with Brand spanking new under 1000 mile conti extreme contact DWs let me know. They were used for the ETGP on our 09 wolfsburg so there is a tiny bit of feathering on the outside edge but the tread overall is 99.9%.
I can't do it. I've debadged every car I have owned (that didn't have holes behind them) pretty much the day I bought them. I tried for like 2 days on my mk4 1.8t jetta since I had the first one in the US. I pulled the Jetta off the day I got it and left the 1.8t by the next morning it was bugging the crap out of me and I pulled it off. I've had my A3 since the first couple days they were available in the US as well I did the opposite, pulled the 2.0t and left the A3 so people knew what it was. Very next day that came off. I paused for a second before I pulled the TDI off and almost left it but knew I wouldn't like it.
Totally get what you mean with the TDI, I was thinking about painting them black with the blue on the "I" but I think my big issue with just one badge is the lack of symmetry. That and I like things that match

Use black mate behind the license plate, and transparent vinyl over the tail lights.

I think it looks good. Normally to me that would be a step backwards as often times black trim where paint is an option indicates a lower trim level of a vehicle. Unpainted door handles, mirrors caps, side molding etc. But this sort of reminds me of the matte black around the rear window on a mk1 rabbit and I sort of like it.
However this picture has actually grabbed my attention for another reason. What country are you in that has the single outlet tailpipe and corresponding rear valence? This I think I need.
This question came up earlier in this thread. A2day is in Germany, and he has the 1.4L TDI, which only has the single exhaust pipe

I think I am with Chris on this one, after looking at the rear bumper and pics posted this rear valence and single tip looks pretty sweet.
I think I remember seeing some thing like this in the Votex catalog after looking into it either online or in the actual manual for install.
Maybe future mod...

It is all being handled, forums represent about 1% of what is actually going on, other then people will post there and never actually contact the company or dealer who can actually fix the problem. That and people are selfish. I've sent the updated files to numerous people and once getting it they have all vanished off the face of the earth not responding to emails or phone calls. While I'd like to assume no news is good news that isn't a realistic way to operate. Two more cars are scheduled for testing updates this week that according to the dealer should not vanish on me. Also my car has been running since Sunday with the latest tuning and I haven't had any issues. I never ran the early files so my car just might not have the issue, again not trusting just the feedback from my experience. At this point in time there are over 20 relevant files for 3 model years of 2.0t TDIs for the US and Canada once we confirm that this is working we'll update the whole library.
In the mean time you can keep the file in performance mode if you do not rev beyond 4k rpm, the car makes no real power there anyway. Or simply running it in stock mode will prevent it.
Hey guys , I have a 2010 JSW and starting to do body mods which I was never good at. What is the best way to pick off the front lower grille and two side fog light blanks? I know the blanks slide in to the middle and snap into the outer sides but the center snaps in from the top and bottom. Is it best to go up under the bumper and detach that way?
It's easiest to take the bumper off to be able to get to the clips from the rear. Start by pulling the side grills off from the middle of the car. Go slow and pop each clip so you don't break the plastic. For the middle grill, there are loops on the back of the grill the bumper's plastic snaps around. You need to gently pry the bumper out of the loop as you pull. Start from one end and work to the other.
