This morning (3/24/11) Colorado had a black MK2 Jetta with a Techtonics exhaust on it.
Looked like 2 1/4
Just needed to drop the rear axle to slide it out, already cut at the cat.

Plus there was a 16v Rocco that still had the Rocco specific exhaust manifold and the fuel metering head/ injector lines.

I guess I should add that the items gone already included the intake manifold, throttle body, body kit lower door trim, grill, and K bar.

yea i pulled the door handles off that rocco. sorry about the door card i jacked that one side up. Im looking for a 4 door rabbit thats preferably still pretty in tact to buy. I know colorado has those two rabbits but they are both pretty haggard and smell like piss

theres and 82 mk2 scirocco in the aurora u-pull N pay on tower and colfax

quiet a bit there... good fenders and hood. i took the seat from it for the GTI

E colfax U-Pull and Pay 3/25/11

1 green vr6 passat 95 (obd1) full motor, besides the aluminum valve cover (I took it)
1 white vr6 jetta 98 Full motor there, most of the side skirts as well.
1 black golf 97 has most of the motor

Saw the scirocco 2 you guys were talking bout, made me miss my scirocco 1 i used to have.

I grabbed the hatch off that Scirocco, small wing/wiperless glass is a disappearing combo.

Found some chrome 924 handles at Pull & Save, 33rd and Peoria.

I thought it would be cool to make a map of all the junkyards in the Denver area, or even all the Front Range for that matter. I moved back to CO in August, and I don't really know where any junkyards are. If this has been done already, then I apologize, I didn't see anything though. I pulled a few from the thread that were mentioned. If you know of anymore, add them to the map! (Or PM me and I'll add it myself)

yep, metal movers is next to u pull and pay (colfax & zeno) and the junk yard off hwy 85 in brighton is no longer there (seven sons) -wich sux major, cus they had tons of vws, and sidewinders closed as well. im stll gona head north this wknd ill give the heads up on my finds. also anyone with knowlege of yards with rabbits (mk1) please let me know. i need some tail lights (u.s. longs) and some other stuff

yesterday 4-7-11, i was at u pull and pay (by i-76 and i-25- adress is something brodway) there is a black mk1 gti-red interior, tan 4dr mk1-brownish red interior, plenty of mk3's (jetta and golf), a mk2 golf with a vr6 swap and gti recaros but the driver seat is slightly squished due to what appears a hellish side swipe, and a couple fox's. and not vw related, but thought interesting an old opel gt-? i think its a gt. but it always makes me wonder why people get rid of some great cars. at best foriegn in colorado springs theres a dmc delorian, like really a f'n delorian, who the fck takes a delorian to the bone yard. anyhow, still going north to continue the search for stuff for my rabbit.

aslo, on federal near i-76, western auto i think the name is, theres a nearly complete black 92 karmann cabrio, still has the clipper kit and all four of the audi looking 14in alloys. has white leather, but thats the only vw i seen there. . . . .

i'll post my finds from the wknd...

there is a mk3 gti at the u pull and pay- about i-76 and i-25 (390 w.66th way. denver) its black with two 18's on the back, not sure whats left and that was yesterday(thurs) and theres a few other mk3s but not sure i mostly pay more attention to mk1s, but there is one there and the new yard right next to it usually has mk3s and up. hope that helps

Was just there yesterday, that looks like a nasty accident. That's a complete swap though, a good find for someone.

yeah they definetly felt that one, sad..... and i like those style gti seats woulda went good with my grey interior rabbit. dont think im headn north, the wifes not feelin good today, but still plan on hitn a few closer yards after bit.

There's a white 2 door at 66th & Broadway, it's pretty well stripped though.

There's a black 87 Jetta there as well, just came in today. I pulled most of the interior, but left a good headliner, a decent dash (1 small crack at the defrost vent), and a pristine 7-slat aero grille with all tabs intact. The body is great too, I checked the registration and it was a Cali car for most of it's life.

Forgot to mention, the black GLI has a BRAND NEW radiator in it.

There's also a cabby with brand new vented 9.4" discs if anyone is needing some maintenance items.

Martins salvage aka 34 salvage in Greeley had a mk2 16v nearly untouched，a couple mk3 jettas, a mk3 golf nearly untouched, a burnt to a crisp nb, and a pretty well stripped down mk4 jetta. Also a nearly complete pointer w a 3 cylinder!

Andersens in Greeley had a tr mk4 jetta w a good trunk lid and some suspension and door skins, everything else was gone, and a uniblack mk4 jetta that had a pretty decent complete interior.

Yeah, I ran to Martin's yesterday. There was a pretty picked over 12v Jetta as well, and a few MK2 cabriolets. The ECU for the 12v was still there. I checked to see if it had a chip in, and it did not, so I put the ecu in the cabin in case anyone wants it.

I went out there weeks ago hoping for the same thing. It was not a 337 GTI

But if you tell me what you are looking for I might be able to tell you if I saw it there last time I was out there (2 weeks ago)
