Any of you guys seen a golf with the headlights still in? Really need a pass side, but could use both. Trying to save myself a couple of hours drive time if there is nothing around. Any tips =
    Thanks.

    saw a couple golfs today.

Metal Movers on Washington north of I-70 has a couple...including a 1994 CL with the cluster and dash intact (including upper glovebox and lower parcel shelf). It was an automatic, but had funky seats. CL hatch wasn't there (had spoiler), and bumpers were US spec, but overall a neat find.

Also found this relic from back in the day turned POS at Pull and Pay off Peoria and 33rd...rear recaros were there but pretty hammered, had all 4 discs, but otherwise pretty bare.

Yesterday (8/8/12) Colorado had a black 16v Scirocco.
Still had the front and rear disc brakes!
Body panels were decent, and exhaust.
    Not much else.

    Cody,
    8/7/12 Colorado had a B4 Passat GLS 2.0L and a white Mk3 Jetta I'm 99% sure was OBD1.
    and
8/8/12 66th and Broadway had a 3 B4 Passat GLS 2.0L's. Plus numerous MK3 Jetta's. Saw this after coming home, so not sure if they were OBD1 or not.
They also had 4 mk1 Cabriolets and 2001 Jetta VR6 with most of the motor (24v??) still there.

Hutch, 66th and Broadway had a 4dr mk2 Calypso Golf. Driver door looked pretty good... Didn't get a close look at it, but did see a little discoloration around the door handle.

Colorado 8/7/12 also had this red 4dr MK2 Golf with interesting gold 13in wheels.

Lastly, that Mk3 Golf CL that Jeffe saw at Metal Movers, still has the cluster and a carb'd head as well.

Thanks Casie, just got back from Colorado Auto Parts, they had everything I needed. I couldn't believe that black scirocco was still there. Snagged the front & rear hubs and brakes, everything was new & rebuilt so I was happy about that.

Went by U Pull & Pay at tower/Colfax. There were a lot of VRs there, one Mk3 GTI, a Mk3 GLX, and a B4 Passat GLX.

I noticed a distinct lack of Mk2s today. I'll try to hit a couple more tomorrow to see if I find any.

How was the front end (bumper, hood, pass. fender)on the Calypso Golf? I could use some with the correct color.

Went out again today. U Pull & Pay at Broadway/66th has a 16v Passat wagon with a complete engine. There was also an 86 GLI with the smooth flares and an 89 4-door Golf with a nice blue interior if you're into that sort of thing. Those 4 Cabriolets are still there too. That has to be the most Cabbies I've ever seen in one spot. Came home with the trunk carpet from the GLI.

LKQ on N Federal has a 2.5l 5-cyl Eurovan if any older Audi guys want a crazy project. There's a nice pair of seats in a 944. Also saw a couple of Mk4 Jettas there with rear calipers still present, and a Mk2 GTI with a good upper hatch wing and VR suspension and brakes. I got the armor door plates and the Autotech shift weight off that one.

Probably the one I mentioned in my post above. Was there a VR in it when you were there? The bay was empty yesterday, but there were ABA parts scattered all around it.

    Sorry guys!

LKQ on Federal has a black Mk3 Jetta with FK coilovers in the rear.
Fronts were no where to be found and I hope I'm not spoiling someone's return trip to get the rears for themself...
It also had a set of 14in BBS basketweaves in fair condition.

The Mk2 GTI we've been talking about, has 3 of the 4 BBS laying around from an early Jetta GLX.

There's a Green MK3 GLX with most of the engine still there and BBS Buggati's layin around. Several looked knackered though.

Lastly there was a white BMW E30 convertable with 14in Enkie 92's or the American Racing knock off's.

    U-Pull off of 36 & Broadway...
4 or 5 MK3 Jettas. All were ABA. One had a Vento dash.

A few Mk1 Cabriolets. One on BBS mehies (I think just basket weaves) sprayed black with 205/50/15 tires.

Absolutely pristine B3 SeaFoam Passat wagon, aside from clear coat peeling. Seats, carpet dash all looked brand new. Was a shame to see it there.

B4 Audi on a full H&R cup kit

Various B5 Audi A4s, an A6, a few old Beetles and a Reflex MK4 Jetta.

I found this car yesterday, the FKs are long gone but there's still a Corrado wing setup with motors grafted into the trunk.

Saw this yesterday as well. This is my old car! Owned it from '04 to '07, and it's my favorite car I've ever owned. I got a little veklempt seeing it there. The suspension is Bilstein HDs and H&R springs, the fronts are a B3 setup and the rears are from a B5. THis was the only way to lower a B4 back then, aside from a Ground Control setup. The ATE Powerslot rotors I installed still look good also.

There is a nice Nevada Beige Westy Golf there with a good condition brown dash (no cracks), dash pockets with the center delete panel, and the long, flat floor mounted console. Would make a nice spartan interior for someone.

Went to the Colorado Springs U Pull and Pay today.
Couldn't find the white mk2 golfs that are in the post above, which was disappointing (need big bumper front). Mk4 Jetta wagon vr had decent interior though.
There are two small bumper mk2's though. White Jetta and a gold four door golf

Rkelso, the two white mk2's are at ABC!
I remembered U-P-U-P had a couple mk2's and confused them with ABC.
    Super sorry man!

FYI- The ones at ABC are not big bumper'd. But one has a power window center console w/switches.

Colorado has had these, but thought I'd mention them:
    - Grey 86 Audi coupe GT.
    - Silver B5 Passat 1.8t. The intake and exhaust manifolds are just laying around...
    - 1980 Cabriolet. Had a good grill.
    - Gold 1984 Jetta 4dr

That is not a 24v and there was never a 24v wagon produced. The fact it is a VR6 is still pretty rare in wagon form.

    U-Pull U-Pay @ 66th and Broadway
    (All these were pretty complete)
    - Red 1986 Quantum Syncro wagon.
    - Tan 1985 Golf 2dr diesel (crack free brown dash)
    - Maroon 1986 Scirocco 8v

U-Pull U-Pay at Colfax and Tower had a Mk3 Cabrio with black leather.
I didn't see any tears, but it was a little worn.

Metal movers on Washington smells like urine and has very few cars!

Side note: and I'm going to try not to sound like a sexist ass...

Anyone know why U-Pull U-Pay is hiring rather unknowledgeable women to sell parts?

Today I could almost let the girl slide, "is that like a fuel pump". "Like yes, yes it is".
But a few weeks ago, when I bought some struts, and the girl asked "is that a spring" as she pointed to the dust boot...!!!

Sure, I've had men ringing me up that were ignorant (like the guy who sold me a G60 thinking it was an alternator).
But these past few trips to U.P.U.P. have been winners.

They're probably cheap to hire. Sometimes they even get some eye candy there, although they tend not to stay long.

I miss when the one in the Springs was A1. People knew their stuff and didn't nickle and dime you at the register.

    Sorry, my bad!

UPAP Denver had a 1996 UrS6 Audi on Saturday. Based on what I see on Motorgeek.com it's already pretty picked over. Imagine the conversation with the parts girl about what the brake pressure accumulator was...and what it might be equivalent to in their computerized parts list.

Anyone been up to Martins Salvage aka 34 Salvage in Greeley lately?
