I quite wearing G-Shocks when I busted 3 of them and they refused to warranty them anymore for me. I can't blame them, I bought the first one, they replaced it twice and finally asked what I did to them when I needed a 3rd replacement.

Of course; I was Airborne at the time, and our commander though that hurricanes were perfectly acceptable to jump in...

I gotta say the new ones are a lot nicer than most of the old models I looked at back then. I am considering a new one, now that my activities are far less destructive

It's very nice, but a bit large (well, aren't they all?) if you don't have really huge wrists.

Wifey got me the GA-100-1A2 as an early birthday gift. Loving the style. But kinda hard to read in dark/low light rooms. It matches the "ICS Blue" of my Gnex nicely!

I like the g shock watches for they're durability and water resistance, however do they have an illuminate option or rather "indaglow"?

That's kind of a necessity for me

That all black one I posted just on the other page that I got does have an LED light. Push the upper right button and it lights from the bezel down near the 6. If it had some type of Indiglow on the 3 digital chronograph screens it would be even better as those 3 screen are recessed from the face so they get no light.

Her (and mine) favorite color is Red. Chinese New Year just passed and the color red signifies luck or good fortune. She's Chinese so it all just kinda fits...

any cheaper g-shock recommendations for a solar atomic one?

After owning my first automatic, i don't want to deal with batteries or fixing the time.

I usually go on amazon type in g-shock then on the results page you can narrow your search by solar, atomic, etc on the left side. I just did this the other day I can't recall the least expensive though
Edit: just checked the cheapest solar atomic on amazon is $49.99
