    Anybody familiar with the Casio SGW400H?



    I've been obsessing over the Sunnto Core's so much.. that I've decided to look elsewhere for a plastic type watch for using while doing sports... with some neat features. I'm looking for altimeter and thermometer... and don't want to pay $200... like the Suunto's cost. Also, not a bad idea to be using a watch that doesn't cost a ton when you're ice climbing, rock climbing, sailing, cycling, flying, etc..

    So thoughts on this badboy? I think it's a cheap enough watch to just take a chance on. The reviews basically say to make sure you calibrate it otherwise the altimeter won't be accurate.

    Got to try this one on finally yesterday. I really like the weight and feel of this watch, perfect size too. Told my girlfriend if I get her an engagement ring then I want this watch. (Considering the cost of a ring I think she's getting off easy).

    well, i decided to go big this time...my big is different than some of you other guys lol

    but got a great deal on this watch...especially since from what i've seen its retail is around $1075...

    Seiko SRG001 Premier Direct Drive Kinetic. 42mm

    Its super nice in person too! I wanted something where i wasnt replacing batteries...seems like i was replacing them every year

    I've been liking my Android a lot more since I swapped on a plain black strap.
    It came with a really nice brown leather band with white stitching, but that was all wrong for this watch.

    I know of people who have had someone in the US order one for them and then ship it on. They also show up used on watch forums with some regularity. Have a look around watchuseek or somewhere like that and see if there are any up for sale from private sellers.
