Love the classic, simple look. The second hand ticks very loud though! (FYI)
It sure does!!! I can hear it across the room when the TV is not too loud. It's annoying at times.

I marvel at that. Because my hearing sucks. I can't even hear the alarm on my ironman unless it's within 3 feet from my ear.

It's a great thing to have good hearing BUT it sucks when the slightest noise can wake me up.

I refuse to wear ear plugs when I sleep so I can hear the goings on around me!

Got an isofrane for my Anonimo. Big improvement over the leather strap it came with. Even with it kinda loose the watch doesn't flop around or spin. Loving Isofrane.

(pics arent from today but I am wearing it today)

It does work. Its the Invicta perpetual Minute repeater. Its a quartz movement so a bit thin that what I am used to but a decent time piece I like it so far still trying to figure out how to set it lol

Scored this Gshock 5500 for $36 shipped from an online auction site. Just got it in the mail on Friday, been wearing it all weekend.
Has moon/ tide indications, would be pretty nifty for a surfer.

Nixon 51-30 tide. Dont recall ever seeing that finish on their site so maybe its a Barney's special edition or something. The strap is something custom.

Nixon 51-30 Antique Copper, with a custom strap made by me. I call it the 'Sentinel'. The buckle is SS which I torched to get the 'copper' color.

    It's the Maratac Pilot's Midsize.

They're made for and sold by CountyComm - http://countycomm.com

It's a Miyota 8245 21 jewel automatic movement, stainless steel case, and sapphire crystal. 10 ATM water resistant - screw down crown, screw in caseback, etc.

Mine is the "Midsize," which is 39mm. They also make a "fullsize," which is 46mm. Both are 20mm lug width, and have Super Luminova C3 for lume, which is really pretty good.

And they cost all of $195. Not a bad deal.

They come with a simple black nylon strap, and a nylon "watch taco" case. I ordered a Matatac four buckle OD Green Zulu strap with black hardware from them also, and that's the one in the picture.

I've owned it for not quite a month now, and it's been great.

Would you do the pilot or the mid pilot? I do not have huge wrists and I typically like smaller watches like the weekender timex's.

Then *definitely* do the midsize one. The fullsize one is huge at 46mm. The midsize one is "only" 39mm, but it still looks big enough (to me, at least) on my 8.5" wrists. It's also very thick, which adds to the look and feel of mass.

I'm really digging that watch. Very Spartan, but with an appreciation for quality.

This is probably my favorite watch out of all of mine, 2nd place would be an Omega Seamaster.

Biggest POS watch I've ever owned...

Notice the time is off from the digital and the hands? You have to set it via the digital time too... The band was warrantied twice, yet the pins continuously fall out. I have worn this maybe 4 times since I've owned it for 7 years. Biggest waste of money ever.

"Scratches" are just from the light.
