I'm one of those who bought a Timex Expedition Military, and it's been serving me well. I chuckled a bit when I checked one of my regular "neat-stuff" type blogs a couple days ago, and found this in the top row:

A stylish everyday watch with an easy-to-read analog dial, date and sweep-second hand. Water-resistant to 100M and has Indiglo night illumination. Grey (w/nylon strap) or brown (w/leather strap).
I thought it was pretty neat that somebody else thinks it's pretty neat too. Looks like Amazon is sold out of the green/grey version right now though.

They do actually. I wasn't sure when I first tried it on and never asked the guy at the store. Sadly I just checked their site and they've discontinued this model

Just got this back from the jeweler, for authentication and cleaning.
They even added a vintage S/S Rolex buckle for the strap.

    Thanks. I agree.

I have a few other Rolexes I've been eyeing, but I don't think any are newer than 1981.
Glad to see Rolex trending back to smooth and simple bezels though.

I don't know what style you like, but if you want durable, I wear my daily watch on a Maratac Four Ring Zulu strap and the thing is pretty indestructible.

    Great strap.

County Comm is sold out on the Pilot watches... why did I not order one months ago?

Did I mention that the "daily watch" on that band is one of the Maratac Pilot midsize?

I'd send that back to the jeweler to fix the datewheel. You can see part of the '28' coming through from the top.

I finally got another band for my Maratac Mid Pilot from Crown and Buckle. It is a NATO leather strap in Coffee color. I have a banquet to go to tomorrow and figured this would look a little better than my green or black canvas straps.

I just got it in the mail today so I don't have a lot to say about it yet. It is pretty thin leather but it is very supple. It has one small blemish from being shipped and stored folded but it isn't bad enough that it is noticeable. It may even go away with time. For $15 I can't complain about that though.

I have a few of the Invicta watches. For all of them, I sanded (dremelled) the band. I personally don't care for the shiny bits

This is the 8920 series right? I have a Black / Gold and a Black / Silver Diver watch, and a Black / Gold Speedway.
