Thread: 1992 Corrado SLC for sale in MD/DC area

    1. 01-12-2010 10:38 PM #1
      FOR SALE ON EBAY: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...t_958

CLEAN RECONSTRUCTED TITLE: I am serious about selling the car, i just do not drive her enough to warrant keeping her. This is a great car that runs strong and fast, i just want to see her go to a home where she will be appreciated more. short list of mods below:

Completely repainted in a dolphin gray 2 years ago.
17" Beetle wheels, wietec lowering springs around bilstein shocks
TT stainless exhaust with borla muffler
Eurosport intake, TT chip, A2 Recaro Seats, momo wheel and knob, etc...
VR6 has 133,000, tranny was replaced at 129,000.

I am looking for a price in the $4,000 range, but will ultimately go the the highest offer. I DO NOT need to sell, so lowballs will not be entertained. A few pics below, will have better pics in a few days. Thanks for looking. Chris (240)298-6521

      Update:

The crack in the windshield runs vertical, runs from top to bottom but doesnt obstruct the view at all. Rear tires are ok, front tires have less than 1000 miles on them (all 4 are yoko parada).

I forgot to mention, the title was salvage when i bought it. There was a small amount of front end damage, and with no readily available body parts the insurance co. put a salvage stamp on it.

I put the car back together myself (4 years ago at this point), sourcing parts from one car. It then went to the MD State Police for a safety inspection to ensure the car was safe, then MD state inspected, then registered and given a clean title. Since then I have been driving on a very regular basis. At one point 40 miles everyday to work and back. This car can be registered in any state at this point.

I have pictures of the damage, and it is easily noticeable that the damage was minimal. I want to reiterate that the damage was purely cosmetic.

the cars original color was dark burg (eggplant color). I did not paint the jams or the engine bay, but the color is so dark it almost looks black so it flows well.

      lots of interest.

How big is the crack in the windshield? How are the tires? Is the title clean?

    16. 01-15-2010 07:31 PM #16
The crack runs vertical, runs from top to bottom but doesnt obstruct the view at all. Rear tires are ok, front tires have less than 1000 miles on them.

I forgot to mention, and thanks for bringing it up. The title is salvage. There was a small amount of front end damage, and with no readily available body parts the insurance co. put a salvage stamp on it.

I put the car back together myself (4 years ago at this point), sourcing parts from one car and cleared everything through the state of MD. I have the car registered since and have been driving since then. This car can be registered in any state at this point.

I want to reiterate that the only damage was cosmetic.

ouch that hurt the jams and hatch not being painted is one thing but the title wow!!!! sorry im out

Not sure what the big deal is with the title. if anyone knows anything about these cars, they are rare and there werent that many made. These days even a small fender bender could possibly result in it "officially" being totaled.

This is what happened with this car. there was minor right fender / front bumper damage and there were no parts readily available. It doesnt affect anything with the look or mechanics of the car.

Anyway, if anyone wants to see for themselves they will. Otherwise i will continue the pleasure of owning and driving one of the great vw's.

LOTS OF NEW PICS INCLUDING ENGINE AND INTERIOR.

These are the only pics i could find of the damage. Passenger side fender, hood, front bumper with rad support and lights were replaced. The parts alone cost me over $1,500, and it took me awhile to find them. No insurance co. wanted to deal with all of that. ABSOLUTELY NO frame or engine damage.

RIDES AS SMOOTH AS MY 06 PASSAT!

Bump for a great color on a clean car. Just picked up a new bike or I'd be all over this. Not interested in 2 wheels are you?
