I know em, but I've never listened to them.

I've been on a huge Ulver kick lately too. Burgtatt (first studio album) is pure epic black metal. After that, they kinda get kinda a J.G. Thirlwell/Foetus vibe that can only be explained as really weird.

Nice!!!!!Is there any difference in the 3xLP's and the Japanese release + bonus disk?
#43
from what I can gather the U.S. release does not have the song "The Sinking Belle (White Sheep)" version, which is my favorite track off that album, and was limited to 10,000.The Japanese release came in a huge boxset, limited to 1,000 and does have "The Sinking Belle (White Sheep)" version

uuggghhhh.
just picked up the 2x cd Death - Human album remastered by Scott Morris.
Sounds like a whole new album. DiGiorgio's bass lines are clearly audible, Reinerts monster drum fills are way more apparent. Vocals are cleanly separated and everything sounds less muted than the original. I've got the original LP, cassette, and cd and am quite familiar with all the nuances of the original recordings. This new one just blows it out of the water and for the most part almost all new death metal stuff. Cant believe it's 20 years old now and is still frighteningly fast.
Reading the liner notes, Reinert and Digiorgio recorded their parts in one live take per track. Reinert and Masvidal were also 18 years old when they recorded it. Level of musicianship was so insane.
3x cd:
Disc 1: (classic remixed and remastered "Human" album)
01. Flattening Of Emotions
02. Suicide Machine
03. Together As One
04. Secret Face
05. Lack Of Comprehension
06. See Through Dreams
07. Cosmic Sea
08. Vacant Planets
09. God Of Thunder (Bonus Track)
Disc 2:
10. Flattening Of Emotions (Basic Instrumental Studio Tracks)

oh yea, and Hooded Menace's last album is insanely awesome.
for fans of old death/doom like Morgoth, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost with the crushing sound of old Stockholm Swedish death metal bands like Dismember and Entombed.

I guess "my" music belongs here. Grindcore is popular with about twelve people on the planet, so I accept it isn't for anyone.

Phobia
Genghis Tron
Napalm Death
An*l C*nt
Extreme Noise Terror
Brutal Truth
Primate
Capitalist Casualties
Arson Anthem

Through The Eyes of The Dead
Brain Drill
Six Feet Under
old Cannibal Corpse (w/ Chris Barnes only)
Torture Killer (w/ Chris Barnes only)

Yeah, I love Laudanum. Are you going to the Eyehategod, Brainoil, Laudanum show on August 12th? Definitely a not to miss show. I have been talking to Greg(Brainoil/ex-Laudanum) about them coming down here. Hopefully that happens soon.
I really want to cruise up for POTR to see Noothgrush. I am too damn poor though. The lineup down here is pretty solid as well.
