Yes! Forgot all about baisee00's car. She ran the front hi-def only for a while on Samarkands.

    More:

Looking at these photos reminds me why I don't like the Votex sides. They don't have very good lines to begin with and they are even lower than the Hi-Def front which just doesn't look quite right.

ReallY? I actually like the rear better than the front. But for each his own.... I only wish my FWD had the dual exhaust like the 4Motion... wish there was a way to retro fit without having to drop $400 on the pair of tips.
life's biggest regret: selling my '08 VR6 Passat with Hi-Def so my wife could get a GLK, Stupid, is a stupid does!!

Agreed. Which is why I got rid of mine and went with the hi-def sides. However, that wagon is just super secksie!

It looks great! My advice is to Plasti-Dip the toothed section in the lower middle so that it matches with the grill below it and the fog light grills. That'll balance the red and black a little better.

Hey Bleser, neve get tired to watch car....so sweet, man...it's an inspiration....if you are going to change, we can expect only more great surprises.
By the way, what's the part number of your steering wheel? I'm trying to buy the same but so far came empty handed.

Okay, I'll bite. I didn't get a chance to wash the car before taking these, but here are a couple pics of my current setup.

Hi-Def front, single tone. Plasti-dipped teeth to match the fog grills.

Hi-Def skirts, left the lower doors unpainted. I think it matches the front grills well and gives the sides a more 3-dimensional look.

Custom smoothed and molded lower valence. Center section left unpainted. Haven't seen one done like this yet. I wanted a one piece rear bumper to match the front, but the hi-def rear didn't fit the look I was going for.

edit: After posting this I realized the plastic trim on the lower doors looks ugly and grey in these pics. Believe me, they look nice and dark when the car is clean and I give them the "Back to Black" treatment.

Really, like the setup and this pic.
Would like to see it really clean though

@dubbernix, awesome. Great execution! Love the single tone look and molded rear. Still think you should color-match the lowers. More pics!

I actually don't know the part number, but it is straight out of the German R36. I browsed ebay.de and found one off a used R36. Just search for "R36 Lenkrad".

It's the meatiest, best-looking steering wheel that I think VW has produced outside of the current GTI wheel - but that wheel is still skinnier and I have big hands so the fat R36 wheel feels best.

    Hey Bleser,

In your post above of baisee00's car (wagon), do you know the suspension setup (springs/shocks) of the wagon without the side/rear lip?

    Thanks
