Thread: 09G w/ NEW valve body going into emergency mode

    1. 01-21-2010 10:30 PM #1
i was helping out a local trans shop this morning by scanning an 05 beetle cabrio with my ross tech cable, and have included a copy of the scan below. apparently they replaced a valve body (NEW from vw) in the trans and now there are tons of codes coming up and it's in emergency mode or something. it starts and runs fine but has trouble shifting out of gear from what they told me.

i erased all the codes but ALL of them came back immediately upon starting the vehicle. they double checked all the electrical connections and can't find anything wrong. check out the codes below and tell me what ya think:

I suppose noone scanned it before they put the vavle body on, so they really dont know if those codes were in there before or not????'

Some of the connectors match and can be plugged in the wrong place.

They need to ohm check throught the harness to make sure the resistances are correct.

If you have fsx machine I can fax you a diagram.

Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.

Said fax, cuz I dont have scanner. Cant e-mail it. Would you like me to snail mail it?

So your local trans shop dont have a fax?

Did anyone scan it before? Does it have a "operational problem"? Does it have reverse? Did it have reverse before the valve body was installed?
