It could be argued that it is already HD since it is capable of displaying 720p content.

But it is decidedly non-HD in comparison to the iPhone 4/4S. The screen really does look like garbage when you use it side by side with an iPhone.

I was thinking about trying to sell my 2 before the announcement, but I use it so much I'm not sure I could separate myself with it for an unknown period of time. I guess I'll just wait and see.

New AppleTV, does 1080p. $99 on March 16th.

New iPad is 2048x1536. Has over 1million more pixels than standard 1080p (1920x1080)

A5X quad-core graphics. Comparing to a Tegra 3, Apple says the A5 is "twice as fast" and the A5X offers "four times the​ performance." Not sure of the benchmark here, folks.

My co-worker has one, I was not that impressed with the graphics. They claim it was PS3 graphics but it is just slightly better than the Sony PSP.

Yes, but they didn't mention a month to month deal or anything else. I wouldn't be surprised by ATT if they went to a lame limited plan plus a 2 year contract. Wouldn't 4G use up my data very quickly based upon their current data caps?

Around the office, more folks are talking about buying the new iPad without even looking over the specs. This is crazy. People who 1st doubted the iPad as being an useless device is now talking about ordering one and asking about what are some good apps.

My guess is there will be some ridiculous wait times and shortages.

I keep crashing at the pre-order site... so I haven't verified that (not that I don't believe you). But, OUCH. I'll stick to wi-fi then.

Edit: I got through. I see how the scale works. I'm not convinced I'd need even $30 a month for the price difference at purchase. Convenient... yeah. Necessary... probably not.

For once the US is getting raped and not Canada. Bell, Rogers, and Telus have 5GB/mo for $35.

That said, if you can use your phone as a Personal Hotspot (iPhones can depending on your carrier / data plan), I don't see the point of paying for a 4G iPad. I can't imagine a scenario where I'd have an iPad with me, but not my phone, AND need the 4G connection. I suppose it's nice that it's not eating into the data you currently use for your phone though.

Yes, iPhones don't have LTE yet, but I also don't have LTE service within an hour of me in any direction.

16 GB. Had an offer for $400 from a friend but will accept a bit less now that the 2 can be had new for $419 in Canada.

Ordered mine. Black 16gb 4G. The store is definitely getting hit hard - took a little while to complete the order.

I love my wifi 2, but I've always regretted not getting a 3G. Plus the sharper screen and extra performance will be nice. Not sure what I'll do with the current one.

Actually dying to play Infinity Blade Dungeons, as Epic game president said. The new iPad actually has more memory and graphics processing power than both the Xbox 360/PS3. The new game looks awesome.
