Well after calling every freaking machine shop in the state of CT, I think I finally found someone to shorten the axles for the 02M swap. Its really one of the few things left I need parts wise so it will be nice to get it taken care of finally!
Fixed up and installed a non-a/c heater box today, brand new heater core!
Brought my real camera to the garage and took some much better photos of progress and parts..

Today I started to test-fit the carpet, I've had this box sitting upstairs in my garage for over a year!
I'm extremely impressed with the Newton Commercial stuff, its all perfectly molded with pre-cut holes.... none of this 'universal fit' crap that I saw elsewhere. Its not cheap by any means but definitely as good or better than OEM.
I purchased the entire kit including the new parcel tray which is really nice!
Here are photos of the fitting, everything is pretty close just need a few adjustments. Includes the back piece across the hatch which is a nice addition
You can check out the site there, shipping from the UK was pretty rough.. I stupidly ordered everything except the underpadding kit the first time and then had to have it shipped separately after the fact, I think it was nearly $200 just in shipping.
great work and thank for the good link on the carpets they look perfect

BUY MY PARTS MKII MOSTLY
I received a GAP gift certificate for Xmas so I ordered some needed parts:
- Corrado VR6 Throttle Cable
- Corrado Brake Reservoir w/ New Cap
- Real Caliper Rebuild Kit (Piston seals and slide pins)
I'm also sending some parts off to powder coat this week, doing the rear calipers/carriers, radiator shroud and a few other small bracket pieces in gloss black. Just trying to button up all the little details!
Getting really excited, my parts needed list is only a few items down from about 30 not too long ago
Maybe consider putting zinc coating on your calipers? Powdercoat looks nicer, but zinc coating helps your brakes drop temperature more effectivly.
Love your work man, great attentions to detail, and also loving the new padding/carpets. Had no idea that they make those.
Got some parts in! GAP goodies:
Chrome for the engine bay....
Dropped off the axles and waiting to pick them up next week from the machine shop!
Small update.. more NOS goodies:
I also got in a new hatch seal and window scrapers today.. waiting on my axles from the machine shop and parts from powdercoating!
How the f*ck did i miss this one.... Awesome work bro'!

Finally bought the wheels I've been wanting, I know they aren't the most original but love the design and really wanted 16x8.
Now I just need tires and we're getting there....
