That is a really nice combo. I just have a couple of cheap decks and a cheap used mixer that works as my preamp.

Gramaphone is pretty much strictly DJ if you are interested. I hoping to find a good shop for indie rock kind of stuff.
#155
from the 2 Reckless Records stores i visited, they carried a decent collection indie/rock stuff

Finally have this cornerstone to my collection.

first vinyl pressing 1988

Dropped almost a hundred dollars today, mostly hip-hop, the one exception being Radiohead's The Bends in 180 gram vinyl. I'll post up pics of my purchases later

I have The Bends on 180...![]()
This is my Record Store Day pull this year: Modest Mouse re-issue, Phoenix single on pink vinyl, Vampire Weekend for $10, Four Tet on 180g, RAA on 180g, Jose Gonzalez, The Album Leaf, and Volcano Choir

I also picked up the Modest Mouse re-issue and the limited edition Album Leaf record. I also picked up the same Black Moth Super Rainbow that I posted above and the re-issue of Monsters of Folk. The record store day release of BMSR is a double LP. I have this habit of buying two copies of a release if it is put out on 180g and a color pressing. I'll listen to the 180g and save the color release.
On record store day I also picked up
and I got this in the mail
One copy on 180g one color pressing.

Nice! I held off on getting it as I have always been more a fan of the earlier Mercury Program releases. That being said, I figured that being they are one of my favorite groups I'd plunk down some cash. I listened to side one last night and I was not disappointed

hahah No, I wish I could as well! That thing is so ridiculous. Even if I had the money, I don't think I could actually get myself to buy it. They have some really cool turntables on that site that are a few hundred dollars.

Damn just found this thread..because of the Guru thread. RIP Guru.I am a long time Turntablist. Have had my Technics 1200's for going on 15 years. SURE M447 needles. Vestax mixers etc...
I have over 1500 vinyl singles and albums. Mostly hip hop and breakbeats. After all they are Turntables and hip-hop.
Suprised to see the lack of hip hop in this thread. I did see the post with the Automator and DJ Shadow and a few others
Come on lets see some underground hip hop.
#174
I almost picked up A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders at the recrod store on Sunday.I am also eyeing up the RJD2 2002-2010 box set. I know he doesn't really do hip hop but he does beats for some.
I am also looking for some P.O.S. vinyl
Do those count
