Thread: 2007 VW Jetta Wolfsburg Transmission Hard Shift

  1. 02-03-2010 02:17 AM #1
I bought a 2007 Jetta Wolfsburg ED from a salvage auction months ago with a cracked tranny and body damage. I bought used tranny and got a friend to swap it for me. After fixing everything we can fix, I took the vehicle to the dealer to get the airbag check and also to conduct general inspection on the vehicle because vehicle won't start. Well, the vehicle was shifting very hard. They scanned the vehicle and they found 2 fault codes P0270 (output speed sensor circ malfunction) and P0715 (input turbine/speed sensor). I figured to come here on the forum to get some ideas/suggestions because the dealers charge $104 and I've already spent hundreds of dollars there. Would appreciate any cost effective suggestion

    09G "gee" its a 6 speed automatic

The sensors that those code refer to are above the valve body, making it something a laymen shouldn't attempt without "experienced" help. If it were mine I would clear the codes and watch data on the scan tool to see if those sensors show a reading. Also I would look at a schematic to see if those two sensors share anything in common ie fuse, wires, tcm.

Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.
