    Mostly made out of plastic.

Do not trust people around the forums that will try to talk you into buying "smoked" or "euro" crap!

These seem to be the most likable, and a favorite choice of the true dubbers up in here:

I myself have been saving my dough to get them soon!!!

here's a direct comparison of the NA amber lights and the Euro smoked ones I bought from izzo. Any Euro spec lights also don't have a sidemarker built into them and seem to let more light through due to a slightly different light pattern out back

I don't man, sorry. I'd go snap a picture for ya, but I won't be seeing the Passat until I return to the States in July. These are the closest I got:
    Left smoked, Right amber

    sort of a side shot??

Yeah, izzo only had the outers for cheap, so I jumped on em. i figured I'd find a set of the inners while I'm over here in Europe. $600!!!! I'd say you got quite a deal on that one sir . . . unless it's gone to sh!t that is

    eBay!

Just FYI... these are NOT Hella. People who have bought similar aftermarket lights
report them being leaking, with poor fitments, etc., although "good" looking.

I liked my clear ones. A clear OEM style look, with orange bulbs.

problem is, they're made in China... they literally took OEM VW fully assembled tail lights, broke out the lenses, and made molds from those. THe copies are badly warped, leaky, and you can even see the OEM part number inside, and where they scratched off the VW logo on the mold... (gotta watch for that copyright enfringement)...

Those are my personal favorites. I picked up a set recently (that mistakenly turned out to be for a sedan) that I was sooo looking forward to using, leaks be damned.
Why do they hate my wagen soo much?

Beware crappy ebay tails. Remember that you get what you pay for (sometimes not even that!) You cant go wrong with OEM. Just smoke em already!

Those clear tails above don't look half bad either, if only they were actual OEM.

Don't want to start a new thread, I'd better ask here.
Does anyone know on which b3 was installed such tail lights?
The only thing I found out is that they were made in France.

SO YOU WANT CLEAR OEM TAILS FOR B3? SEDAN OR WAGON? I WILL START HUNTING FOR THEM.
I SOLD A SET OF HELLA SMOKED WAGON TAILS; I HAVE A SET OF SMOKED TAILS FOR SEDAN IN MY CAR; MAYBE I SHOULD START COLLECTING THEM FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

    Gotta love you!

    @dajes
Those are smoked euro lights for the sedan. All tail lights for the sadan are from SignalVision in France. And you can clearly see the difference between german Hella lights and french SignalVision lights...
That was the reason I replaced all my lights when I mounted the Hella Heckblende.

Sedan lights just fade out over time, only option is to buy new ones like I did a while back.
I dont care if it takes another 10 years for them to fade out again
