I really need to get a few ESEE knifes.

Where is the best place to get them?

The Knife Connection is always my first stop for knives. Except for the BladeHQ and Knifeworks exclusives of course.

Dale @ The Knife Connection has to be the quickest shipper I have ever dealt with, especially considering it's free shipping if you spend $40 or more, which is hard not to do when buying knives.

ESEE knives are in my book. Overpriced though for the steel used... and yet I own three.

They also come with some of the best sheaths available. Sure, you could spend less and get a Becker, but the sheaths aren't nearly as good. And 1095 holds an edge like a woman holds a grudge.

Quite enjoyed scrolling through this thread. I've always appreciated quality cutlery.

Here are a couple of old random shots that I like to whore around.

The Ti-Lite was a BEAUTIFUL knife when new, but I found it to not stand up to use really well (dulls easy, mars, logo wore off), it's more of a keep it around in case you need it kind of knife. I used to carry off and on a little more, but it's since been relegated to occasional night walk duty. This is the 6" version, it's a MONSTER folder. Another reason I never completely EDC'd it - little on the bulky side. Cool and irresistible to purchase non the less.

Another cool Cold Steel piece, the Safe Keeper III. Ended up giving it to my brother to keep as a house-knife after looking like a mall ninja carrying it on my hip got old (can't keep a fixed blade in your pocket or otherwise conceal it in CA).

      Onto the real knives...

EDC'd one of deez for four years. Kershaw Blackout.
      (not my image)

Then moved onto it's big brother the Avalanche S30V. I'm not sure what the story is now, but at the time the S30V's were really hard to get a hold of, so it was a big deal for me to get it. That steel is AMAZING. Also carried this for a solid four years.
(not my image, mine is partly serrated)

Recently I've just started carrying one of my patrol knives on me all the time as my EDC - an older Spyderco Rescue Jr. I just got so used to the slim profile in my pocket and the overall simplicity and ruggedness of the knife. I'd like to get a Delica combination edge as my shore side EDC one of these days. I've had all kinds of salt water all over this thing by the way, even had it in kayaks where it was gettin' splashed all day long. Never had a spot of rust. Wouldn't trip on the "Salt" models. I just rinse it off with fresh water (as with all the rest of my gear) when I get home. Even then though, I've forgotten a few times and never had any issues.
      (not my image)

And just for kicks, here's our issued "safety knife" or "survival knife" (depending on who you ask): An LSC #358 Rescue & Survival Knife. We're required to carry them, but I don't know anyone who actually uses them. They're complete pieces of chit. A definite "save it till you need it" knife. Dull right outa the box too. They look pretty f'in salty strapped to your chest though.

My pops sent me out a couple replacements to my beaten deployment knives. He sent me a Benchmade 140SBK and 9051SBK. Pics to follow once we get internet working out here again.

If those Izulas came with a serrated edge, they'd make a great little hiking knife at only two ounces a pop.

I saw that someone made a fully serrated Izula. I'll have to find the pictures. They stripped the coating and dabbed on some Gun Blue too I believe.

A partially serrated ESEE-3 would be a fantastic hiking knife as well.

I used to carry a Kabar on my deployments but it finally needed to be replaced after 5 years. Pretty happy with benchmade so far.

No new knives to report but I did just get a new spyderco sharpmaker & a new leather strop. Time to get sharp I actually used to use cardboard to strop my knives so I'm sure the leather will be even better.

Highly recommended to get a ultrafine rod to go with your new sharpmaker, it will help give that silk feeling mirror shine on all of your blades.

The 140 is a great knife, smaller than a Kabar yes, but still a good sized knife.

I need to get me one of those Sharpmakers, or the Lansky system. Maybe I should ask for one or the other for Christmas.

Yes, I am. They are hydra shock rounds. Found em in a desk drawer here. Just put them in for the pic. Unfortunately I am back to the ball seat rounds now.

Bummer... I was hoping that we abandoned that part of an outdated treaty.

The ridiculous thing is that NCIS, OSI, and CID carry HP ammo... along with other Fed agencies that have personnel operating in warzones.
