The HP5557E-B and the HP5857SP-B are the closest, the 5557E-B will spool a few 100rpm lower than a 3071R given the same housing AR's

    5857 billet is rated 605HP

    3076R is rated 500HP

The spoolup characteristics will be similar, but more top end from the 5857 due to billet wheel. The billet wheels don't require as much material to maintain strength, so they can machine more material out of the wheel leaving the area around the center bore thinner, and the blades thinner. This allows for faster spool, and also more air flow through the blades and therefor more power.

That was Nik bumping, but we're trying to wrap up the stage 4 MK5 R32 kit and then start on the MK5 FSI and MK6 TSI kits at the start of March, going to do complete buildups in the forums. Possibly thinking about doing a MK4 Big Boy kit after that with a 6262SP-B, built motor and revised FMIC piping/downpipe for our 1.8T kits. Somewhere in there we need to fit in a TT3.2L Turbo kit, B6, B7 and B8...

How's the clutch holding up brother?
