    Hey guys,

Really good info about the 49ers.

    http://blog.pressdemocrat.com/49ers/

Most breaking news about the 9ers comes form this guys blog. I have been reading it for some time now.

i like the post farther down

    "Niners vote for Postseason change"

why do the 9ers get to vote - only teams that can make the playoffs should vote on this

Sam Bradford is getting a lot of hype after the workout.

If he goes first, that could throw an interesting twist in the selection process and potentially leave some solid picks for the Niners.

Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?

im sure Bradford has the tools to be a great QB but 2 things i do not like about him

His shoulder injury and he will get pummeled playing with the Rams

    and

The fact that no Bob Stoops QB has done jack in the NFL - they all were system guys that were surrounded by the best talent at the college level.

Yeah Bradford put up big stats - so did White, Hybel and Heupel - just sayin

    I don't disagree.

Early reports said that his throwing motion still looked good and he was able to make all the throws. I'm not sure the shoulder injury will be a huge deal. However, if and when he starts taking a beating behind that Ram's line, then we'll really see how well his shoulder does.

Matt Millen rumored to fill GM role in San Francisco
After being blamed for much of the Lions' problems, Millen may get another chance.

    McNabb to the Redskins..... madness.

Niner's sign Ahmad Brooks to a 2 year deal. That's a good move. He was becoming to come on strong last season and gives them a pass rush threat.

Holmes to the Jets for a 5th round pick.....

The Niner's couldn't have come up with a slightly better trade in order to land a solid receiver?

Oh well. Between Crabapple and Morgan, hopefully they'll have something worthwhile happening in the receiving group. Davis is coming into his own as well.

Just a couple weeks until the draft. Really curious to see what they do.

I think we have a good receiving core right now. Let's not forget that Gore is a good receiver as well. Hopefully a good lineman will be available when it's our turn.

I am stoked about our receiver core. Its the best in years!

    We got:

Vernon Davis - What a savage! This guy was on top of stats all year long. He had 13 TD's !!!

Josh Morgan - This guy is begining to mature. He seems to have a good work ethic he learned from Isaac Bruce. I think he will be a solid 2nd receiver.

Michael Crabtree - First I was like Then I was like Then I was like

Frank Gore - This guy is hardcore. He always puts in 110% effort in a game weather its rushing or recieving.

I am excited for this year

I am excited for this year

im happy that the NFC west sucks enough that an 8-8 9ers team can sneak into the playoffs

Holmes would have been nice - hell i didnt even see that one coming

I know he carries baggage but if there is one coach in the league who can make something out of them he is in San Francisco

I would have given a 3rd - the man is a pro bowl talent WR - however only taking a 5th rounder for him - something does not smell right - still risk/reward - Jets seem to be making all the right moves lately

I am excited for the draft (i really try to down play it but no luck)

I think any Olineman (except maybe that samoan who's name i cant spell) would be a reach at 13 (im assuming the best tackles are gone since they are normally the safest pick in the draft for the $$$$

Im thinking defense and/or skill players
Id love either Bryant or Spiller because they can return punts but also are big time playmakers

I would not mind Haden either - I watched a lot of Florida football the past few seasons and never really noticed him but the "experts" seem to have him as the best - fine - if he is a true lockdown corner you cant pass him

Yeah ... if Haden is available at 13, they need to take him. Haven't had a true shut down corner in years.

There is actually a decent amount of talent at G and T this year, so they can hopefully still pick someone up at 17. Ideally, a RT.

Some of the mock drafts even have Eric Berry dropping as far as 13. If that happens, Haden or Berry looks like a good pick. Either will address issues in the secondary.

i dont see Berry falling - i read something on the 9ers forum about Berry going higher than 5 or 6 and he will be the highest paid safety in the league

Id take Berry and Haden if I can - then the defense would be all set

I don't think he would fall either and I don't think they could get both. Pick one and the other will be gone by their next pick. It just makes for an interesting choice at 13 if they are both still there.

Having both is a pipe dream, but then they wouldn't address OT, which they really need. They need to draft a stud so that they don't have to keep worrying about that position and Gore would have someone to run behind.

Niners just nabbed Ted Ginn Jr for a 5th round pick

Finally, a true deep threat. Apparently, they are going to use him as a slot receiver and full time return man.

Just need a RT and the offense is sitting pretty.

With someone to stretch the field, that opens up all sorts of room for Davis and Gore while Morgan and Crabapple can roam short and mid routes. Beautiful.

It's make or break time for Smith.

awesome (does any one still say that any more?)

i wanted the 9ers to get him when he was coming out of Ohio State - i dont think he ever improved his route running but most of the time he is the fastest guy on the field

They won't need to worry about Spiller now as they will have a return man. That means they can focus on that damn RT position and hopefully pick up a corner or safety as well.

Word is Scot McCloughan left the team due to a fight with alcoholism. He showed up late or drunk to several different meetings. That's sad

ok to expand my thoughts on spiller now that i have a minute

Gore is the #1 weapon on the team. When healthy is one of the best backs in the league.

However backs have a very short life any more - look at Tomlinson.

Gore probably has 2-3 even 4 solid years in him but then will start to fall off.

I say pick up a change of pace back (and Spiller is definitely a change of pace) now and split the load.

This keeps Gore fresh, possibly extends his useful years, and being able to pound the ball with 2 different backs (even 3 with Coffee) will always give the 9ers an advantage in the 4th quarter.

RT is a big need but RT is not LT (unless its a left handed QB which is not the case here). I wanted the 9ers to grab Loadholt last year. A big barrel ass of a man but he looks pretty good blocking up in Minnesota.

RTs i dont think really face the dominate pass rushers in the league like the LTs do. So pass blocking in theory becomes easier.

Id rather grab Iupati as a guard than risk a tackle like Davis (have not read much on him other than he can do it but can be lazy)

In my line of thinking id address RT in the 2nd round (the best OTs will be gone by the time the 9ers pick anyway so why risk it on someone who has been labeled lazy)

Id address secondary or offensive skill position in round 1.

as a dolphins fan thanks for taking him, although it sucks we only got a 5th rounder since we spent a first round a few years back to get him. He's been frustrating for most dolphin fans but I think it was beacuse he had to much pressure to be "the WR" he will do much better for the 9ers. My only problem i had with him was that he would run out of bounds every play since he is so light and didnt want to take a hit every once in a while to get a few more yards. Im just glad we got marshall now!!

Marshall was a great pickup for you guys.

I think Ginn will do fine as a 3rd wideout and not the main guy. We haven't had a return threat in ages, so it also gives us a possibility of some better field position.
