it's blown up, basically...the p.o. ran it out of oil somehow. I'm looking at buying it as a project...the guy who has it now already has a motor lined up for it, but doesn't have a whole lot of time to put it together to resell it himself from what I gather. It's a slushbox, but the price may make up for it...I'll update after I go look at it...unless the big snow storm keeps me from getting there

Yeah it's pretty crappy in Perrysburg, 795 is still not plowed and driving to BG for class today was horrible.

Shoot son, reminds me of my buddy's house. He lives out in the country and every winter his driveway piles up with drifting snow which in turn causes me to get stuck.

Lol, there's a school down my road that has a hugeeeee parking lot devoid of streetlights that is perfect to rip up during snow. During the storm last night I went there and slid alllllll over, thanks to my bald a$$ rear tires.

Hopefully I'll be getting some Sumitomo's in the future

Thats why you wait till the plow truck is gone an theres the perfect smooth sheet of snow they couldn't get that drifts even better than the deep powder!

Upon further review...the passat just isn't my flavor, a nice car and I like the idea of a bigger 4 door for the kids and all, but the auto trans killed it for me. I'm back leaning more towards a 5spd jetta...something I can have a little fun with...so, the search continues for a 5spd jetta....

yeah, MK4 preferrably...that way I can slap the kids' seats in it with the tether deals and have no worries...that and I have a set of 17" wheels in the garage with the right bolt pattern that the wifey didn't like on the beetle, drop springs, and an aftermarket front bumper cover all at immediate disposal...plus, if I find a 2.slo 5spd, it's stupid simple to work on...

any1 in toledo area familiar with the 1.8t? my car is acting up like a mofo n im getting pretty frustrated, its starts, idles and revs up just fine but misses and pops and backfires when driving down the road, idk, im thinking the fuel filter is clogged, audiworld says it should be changed every 20k miles so idk, perhaps it should just die in a fire.

sounds like a mass air flow problem...unhook it and see if it runs better...is the CEL on?

Idk, but I think it's time for a NW Ohio cruise to Ft. Wayne so we can find this mofo then race him for pinks. That way no one loses any cash, except for gas, and you get off with a new car. Hopefully someone around here has a VrT that pushes 21psi or a Honda with a B swap.
