Since I am now a stay-at-home dad, and don't have much to do, I figured that I would create a time line of my 2008 GLI.
I bought the car from Wyoming Valley Motors in Larksville, Pa at the end of July 2009. It had a little over 3,400 miles on it.
After driving it for about a month, I bought an ATP intake off of the Vortex classifieds.
I then got a europlate, installed Sylvania Silverstars in my fogs, and stuck the GLI letters on my front bumper. Also got the resonator deleted.
I then purchased Ziza H7 and 9006 pure yellow lights from ECS Tuning and loved (and still do) the difference in night driving. I also ordered the upgraded "D" diverter valve and installed.
I managed to pick up a pair of Passat steelies with rubber off of the classifieds and after painting them, threw them on, just to find out that the tires were 5% too tall.
Took those wheels off, put on the Denvers, sold the tires and bought some General Altimax Arctics to go on the steelies.
Made my own heat shield for my intake and replaced the ATP filter with a K&N (put the ATP on during the winter).
I got a set of OEM carrier bars (no real good pictures of them) from the classifieds and then put the car into winter mode. During the winter, I purchased a set of color matched side markers from ESE Tuning.
All that had been done to the interior thus far was replacing all interior bulbs with blue LEDs.
For my birthday, my buddy got me a pair of color matched eyelids from Performance Cafe. I know how the 'Tex loves eyelids, so here they are.
Back to the classifieds, I found a euro dash tray for sale, and picked that up and installed.
While on their website, I picked up an EE Militia decal and badge. Put them on yesterday after the spring cleaning.
All of this brings me up to date. Yesterday, I took advantage of the nice weather and waxed the hell out of the car. Today I went out and tried to find some good photo opportunities. Went over to Bethlehem to the old steel plant and got some shots.

|great shot. kinda sad to see the GLI badge come off the front. it was the only way i could tell your car apart from all the other thunder bunny PG jettas out there |
Thanks! Haha, yeah I know. I wanted to do something different. I have a new badge coming and it is going to go in the grille. Something still unique and that doesn't make it look like an old Ford!
