Yeah...30 mm narrower than the ones you just got. You got an extremely wide tire, on a wide wheel, with an aggressive offset.

The guy you got them from also had to run 8 mm spacers to clear his struts, just like I said. He is also lower than me and can pull off an aggressive fitment like that.

I'm not as dumb as most people think I am. I happen to know a thing or two about modifying a car and have been through enough wheels and tires to know what fits.

5x112 is not always a sure sign that it will fit.

Why do you think I said to get rid of them? You'll need to run a 215/40 on them with an 8 mm spacer. The PO was correct in his fitment.

I have the spacers. I'll see what I can do but you're probably right. They'll sell if I can't make it work.

I made a DIY for the fix to my wiper arm shutter issue. This issue has been addressed by Volkswagen, but never fixed.

HERE is the DIY.

Volkswagen replaced my wiper motor/transmission/linkage, wiper arms, and wiper blades under warranty and the issue was not fixed. I tried the electrical tape fix and it worked. Looking to help others with this DIY. Please rate it five stars.

May have to try this. Volkswagen replaced my wiper blades because they were falling apart. I have new ones now and they scratched the windshield pretty bad.

Yeah, I know. Technically, one tree is illegal. You are not supposed to have anything hanging from your rearview while the vehicle is in motion. I guess I will just chance it.
