      Do work.

Going to be heading over to Shane's house to do coil over install 1 of 3 for the Spring/Summer.

Still feeling a bit groggy but I should be fine with some fresh air.

You know how on the front upper strut mount, there are three nuts embedded in the rubber? Yeah...one of them on the driver side popped out of the mount, which I have never seen happen. Spent, oh geez, at least an hour drilling out that bolt. But first, the passenger side strut didn't want to come out. Spent so much time getting that out. Just a long time. Six and a half hours. Still not bad. It technically is an eight hour job and I did mine in four.

Dude, sounds like the exact problems I had. Left front strut mount did the same thing. The nuts on the mount broke loose so I had to figure out a way to hold the nut while loosening the bolt. I think between that and getting struts in and out is what took me the longest. Well, that and the fact my c/v shafts didn't want to come out of the hub

Yup, so, Steve, I should have the bumper in about a week...paint time my friend.

As soon as tires get here, they are going on the wheels and on my car...no excuses.

Alrighty. Progress time makes me feel better. The tires (Nitto NeoGen 215/40R18) have been ordered and hopefully will ship out today. I may end up taking them to Strauss Auto to install, because of the small 215/35's that are currently on the wheels. I want someone to be able to take them off without damaging the wheels and hopefully saving the tires, incase someone wants three good tires.

If some people have not figured it out by now, I will be running a European R32 front bumper. Now, this is a replica, however, I have done much reading on the company, its materials, and products. They make good quality replicas. They use ABS plastic that is the same as OEM, so I won't have to worry about cheap, crappy fiberglass replicas.

This bumper comes primed and with all the grilles. All it needs is a VW emblem, which I have. The main grille comes in black, which I will see how I like. If I like the black look, then I will keep it. If not, it is going on the wife's R32 and I will rock the brushed grille.

Before anyone says I am hopping on a bandwagon or anything, let me explain that I have always wanted a R32 front. In my opinion, I feel it is the best looking front end of all the MkV models. Once I saw this car in person:

The game changed and I knew I would have one. I wont shave this one though, however, it comes with the dual moldings for the washers and I want the single moldings.

This furthers my OEM+/.:R theme and will now be the fourth front bumper on this car since it was made. For now, the fog lights will be mounted to the bumper behind the grilles, like the DIY method in the R32 forum, until I can afford the new R32 fog light grilles that are out. $400 is a lot for two pieces of plastic.

You all know me...I will keep everyone updated and will post pictures when I can.
