I installed my new(ish) dash cubby. Not as big of a pain to install as everyone said it would be.

      @ Sean

No rattles yet...hopefully never. The only thing I wish that I could do with it is to be able to swap the silver GLI dash trim from the old piece. The cubby piece has a solid trim piece, so I will have to paint it I suppose.

      ---

I sold my Miro's yesterday and picked up some new jawns...

So, I test fit the wheels last night to measure for spacers. Going to run just a 10 mm in the rear.

I bought it off the classifieds here. I'm not really concerned about it though.

Today I put my summer wheels and tires on. Brand new Nankang NSII (225/40R18 91H) on the Omanyts.

Since I am being semi-secretive with the look, only Facebook friends can see what it looks like.

Click here to see if you're one of the lucky few.

I just need to get some spacers and clean up the car, but I love the look!

On Friday the stainless steel brake lines are going on along with a brake flush while I'm at it.

AWE is a great localish shop. Willow Grove right? I'm looking to get one for my 2.5L. Seem like good peeps too. Although they wanted almost $400 bucks for a suspension install.

Also.. You don't happen to have any Caps left from your Miro's? I have been looking into changing the ugly Miro caps for months. 70MM for the 111's. Thanks. One.

      @ DboyDub1

I will say that AWE's customer service was amazing and the product is the same. Only about an hour from me.

I also sold my Miro's with the caps. I got them with the wheels when I bought them.

Let's just say, wow. Truly amazing. Like a rocket. Improved throttle response and once you hit 2,000 rpm, the car just takes off. I may or may not have hit 130 on the way home from work yesterday with ease. Another plus is when driving normally, the fuel mileage is higher. Definitely three .

I installed my USP stainless steel brake lines last night. Pretty easy install. The clips are the hardest part of the whole thing, but worth it. Also did a brake flush...I was due anyway and that way I didn't have to do any pesky bleeding. I like the finished result, looks and performance.

I took a cell phone picture, but I guess you really can't see the line in the picture. You can in person though. Paid the extra $5 for the red sleeve.

And just because I washed it...

As of right now, I am satisfied with the Nankangs. Wet weather handling is pretty good and I'm happy with cornering and dry traction. The ride is pretty good as well. For the price, I think it was a good buy. As time goes on I'll make my final review. Hankooks were about $500 and the Nankangs were about $300. The only thing I'm not a fan about, is that the Nankangs are a 91H (minimum load index for a Jetta - speed is rated at 130 mph) and the Hankooks were rated at 94W. But no big deal.
