Sure does look like it. the Jetta in their t-shirt is white with white mirror caps, black handles, black moldings, early Jetta grille, long fogs, VR6 lip and those very same wheels. I could only find this one pic online

ok I got around to snapping some shots but I suck at photography so they're not good ones.
I'm running 8.5 up front and 9.5 rears with Falken Ziex-512 205-40-16 at all four corners.
ADAPTEC 4X100 -> 5X120.65 20mm adapters
*NOTE. I'm only running a 60-40 FK Cup kit so it's as "low" as I can bear as a daily driver in a poor city that cannot fix pot holes. The Cup kit is going on 7 years now so I'm guessing that it has really settled in or is sagging a bit because I parked next to a buddy with a brand new FK 60-40 cup kit and my car is nearly an inch lower than his. On with the pics...
Here are my thoughts on my setup... I played it safe with 20mm adapters since they were recommended for a 4 lug setup on this thread. I found the front to poke just a tad bit much and the rear tires could poke out a bit more so if I could order adapter again, I would go with 18mm up front and 22 out back. 17 front and 23 rear might even work.
Even thought I am running a cup kit IT RUBS. Last night I was out on the highway for the first time with these wheels and shred a good strip of tire rubber in the rear. So this morning I "lightly rolled" my fenders. It's not recommended to employ the baseball bat trick but in the videos I've seen aluminum bats are used and that strips paint if you don't heat up the fender. I used a WOODEN bat and the paint did not chip.
So I'm happy with the setup overall. The small gap does bother me a bit but I'll have to deal with it. I apologize to the "Just Lower It" crowd but my driveway is kind of steep (house is on a slight hill as you can see in the photos) and my front lip and bumper would not be able to take the abuse on coils.
